Today April had received her official schedule for the community college classes she was going to be taking. It was full of times and locations and names of classes, and naturally it needed to be destroyed.

Tino didn't appear to be in today, so April placed a neatly-written sign on the bar reading "Yell if you need service," then went to the lounge to throw darts at the sheet of paper. She was being kind of loud about it, occasionally cursing when she didn't quite hit the target.

April was definitely going places in life.

Sarah considered just going over the bar and grabbing a beer for herself. Hey, her boyfriend worked here, she could've talked her way out of trouble.

But then she yelled, "SEEEEEERVIIIIIICE!"

Because that was fun. And easier.

April was just trying to help people get in touch with their yelling sides, oh em gee!

Abandoning her super-important project for a moment, she emerged from the lounge, still holding a dart. That probably looked a little weird.

"Yeah?"

Sarah had spent like a quarter of her entire life so far at a cape bar. She was used to bartender emerging from lounges and back rooms with far weirder things.

She was also a natural at yelling, but she didn't do it again.

"Beer me."

Sliding a beer across the bar, April checked, "You know you could've just taken one and walked out?"

It was almost like Sarah was a responsible person or something.

"Climbing over bars takes effort." So more lazy than responsible, then. "And you don't have an electronic beer-dispensing machine."

Taps didn't count, because with those you still had to get your own glass and everything.

"Tell me about it," April said. "If we had one of those, I'd never have to do anything, like, ever."

Sarah toasted her with the beer. "One of the kid geniuses should make one. And one that counsels people, while they're at it."

Because why should April be the only one not doing their job?

"You're a counselor?" April was just guessing here. Or she actually knew it and had just forgotten. Probably the latter. "Can't you tell one of the students to do it for a creative outlet or closure or some crap?"

That presumed that students valued Sarah's advice, awesome as it was.

"Yeah, been the guidance counselor since last summer ended." A drunken career decision, but that didn't really need to get mentioned. "And, there's that Tony kid. He seems too smart for his own good, he could probably build one."

"Never met him," April said, not that that was probably surprising. "He seem like the kind of benevolent inventor who'd make me one for free?"

"Excuse me," Coulson said, raising his voice without really yelling. "If you're busy, I could get my own drink." Coulson was a doer.

Fortunately, by this point April's dart-throwing funtimes had mostly dissolved into admiring how thoroughly she'd destroyed the class schedule that she was going to need tomorrow, so she was able to hear him just fine as she emerged, one tattered sheet of paper in hand.

"Getting drinks is actually crazy difficult, believe it or not," April shared as she made her way behind the bar. "Probably should leave it to a professional. What do you want?"

"Just a beer. In the bottle," Coulson said, pointing to whatever relatively classy American beer might have been in view.

Was he making sure the getting of the drink was as simple as possible? Yes. Yes, he was.

April set a beer on the bar. "Way to not let me show off."

So mean, Coulson. That had to be up there with faking your own death on the list of mean Coulsonisms.

"Sorry. I just didn't want to make things too difficult," Coulson said. "What with how hard it normally is and all."

"Oh, not for me," April clarified. "I have booze acquisition powers."

"I'm sorry, I misunderstood," Coulson said before taking a sip of his beer. "Are those powers natural, or did you get them in a brewery accident?"
