Fandom Post Office, March 12
If yesterday had been a bit light on deliveries, today was even more so: there were several regularly-scheduled parcels that Éponine had been told to expect every Tuesday, and none of them had come in. (That was probably for the best, since she knew perfectly well that there were bottles of rum in there and had been trying to figure out how to 'appropriate' some of them for herself and then re-seal the packaging without anyone noticing.)
On the one hand, it meant she and her scrawny frame didn't have to lug them around town, but on the other hand it left her with a little more down time in her day than she liked having.
As a result, she resorted to tidying things up around the post office, reorganizing and even doing a bit of cleaning up. If she was doing this for the sake of figuring out where she could stash some of her things (particularly the liquor) for safekeeping because no, she still didn't have an actual place to live? Well, no one had to know.

"I think I'm managing, so far," she said, gesturing around the post office before she leaned against the service counter. "How in hell that happened, I haven't a clue."
Random runs of good luck: she also had no idea what to do with those.

She stared past Kitty for a moment, humming softly, then snapped out of it.
"It's so quiet here, after Paris, and none of those awful crowds."

She glanced toward the back room and frowned. "It's oddly not that busy today, though."

Éponine. No.

Sorry, Kitty. No giving away for free what she could get some kind of profit from if possible. Opportunism was a hard habit to shake.
