Another day, another chance to make money. Not that she needed it -- she was still on salary with Benicio, after all -- but it was a nice opportunity to get out of her room and do something constructive... as opposed to the times she got out when she wasn't working, where she tended to get up to whatever mischief she damn well felt like it.

Today she was sitting behind the counter and working on a status update to send to her boss that was a little more substantial than "Everything's fine. Go away now." She'd sent him that one once and he hadn't been amused. It'd been just about worth it, though.

Today's Squishy flavors: Banana Blueberry, Cotton Candy, Mischief Marshmallow.

Mike had a party to throw tomorrow. That might explain all the Jell-O packets and gelatine and assorted other jelly shot necessities he hauled to the counter right now.

"... Mischief Marshmallow?" he asked, once there. "That sounds promising."

Hope laughed softly. "It's actually not bad. Kind of a weird flavor to have in a Squishy but I long ago gave up questioning the list of potential flavors."

She studied the assortment of things Mike had brought up to the counter. "You planning on making enough Jell-O shots to supply a small army?" she joked.

"Just most of Fandom's adult population." And a teenager or two, but he'd probably pretend Stiles wasn't there consuming shots. "But you know, looking at the people on this island, that kind of is an army, right?"

Hope quirked a grin. "That is the best description of the island's population that I have ever heard," she said. "We certainly could be an army, at any rate."

Mike matched her grin with a smile of his own, and shrugged a shoulder. "Hell, from what I've heard, that's even been needed sometimes." "But I'm hoping no disaster is imminent right now. 'Cause it's gonna be a drunk army."

He paused, and then added, "Oh, and you're more than welcome to come, too. Mansion on Phoenix Way, tomorrow night."
