Caritas, Friday Evening

Mike was pretty lucky. He'd been working construction off-island every day this week, so he'd only had to deal with the current Fandom thing sparingly, and spending most of the time asleep because work was exhausting and whatever pollen-addled thoughts he got in his head couldn't force him to stay awake.

But then he'd stayed in town today.

... Yeah, he really wished the zombies would have stopped trying to play bad '70s style porn music after repeatedly being told to knock it the hell off.

Did Dean really need to be out at a bar for the last few nights in a row? Yes. Yes, he did. So, there he was at Caritas and pretty damn disappointed the bartender had a dick.

The bartender also had some excellent arms and a tank top that showed them off. Mike would refuse to believe he was a disappointment to anyone.

"Sure, man, coming right up."

But he was a bartender.

This was day what, five of this? Yeah, no. Jaye was skipping chaperoning since she sucked at it anyway, and going to the bar.

To stare at the bartender, apparently.

Buffy decided she had to see zombies at the rival bar for herself, if only because she wanted to see how well they could play their instruments.

Seeing Mike in a tank top was just bonus. "Hi! Fancy seeing you here."

The zombies were still trying to soundtrack a '70s porno. They were doing it well, sure, but it was still annoying.

But, Mike managed a smile. "Yeah, fancy seeing me at the place I work," he replied. "On the day of my shift."

Mike shook his head as he went to get her drink. "Nah, we don't judge here. A nice refreshing Coke is just as acceptable as a beer or a shot of tequila or whatever. Actually, it might even be smarter."
