The Perk | Tuesday Morning

Aggressively cleaning the jeep with bleach did nothing to brighten Stiles' mood any and it made the jeep reek in a whole new way. He had left the windows open to try to air it out (who was gonna steal that thing anyway?) and went back to the island to mope for awhile. No, not mope. Just to lay around in a not moping manner. Yes. If anyone asked he couldn't sleep because he had gotten used to those sweet, sweet Jackson cuddles back in the bouncy castles.

In an attempt to prove to himself that he was fine he did what he usually did on mornings when he got up too early and went to go infuse himself with a metric ton of caffeine. He picked a corner table to sit at and took to aggressively texting Scott, trying to get him to change his mind about his stupid tattoo idea before he had to go to Beacon Hills to be moral support for his stupid tattoo idea. Could werewolves even get regular tattoos? He'd ask Derek but...yeah.

"What's up, tattoo boy?" Jim asked when he strolled into the Perk to get something to drink. "How's the ink doing?"

Still hilarious, yep.

"Ugh, screw off, Jim." He wasn't in the mood for your stupid face.

His face was not stupid! Don't be jealous, Stiles.

"Wow, so much hostility," Jim said, shaking his head. "Someone have a bad weekend?"

"A remarkably good weekend, actually," Stiles informed him. "Doesn't mean I'm in the mood to deal with you."

"Hey, it was an innocent question," Jim pointed out as he went to order something from the barista. "I was concerned for the healing that your tattoo was doing. I mean, I did help in the decision to get it."

He wasn't sorry, Stiles. Not sorry at all.

"I got it weeks ago," Stiles said. "If something went wrong it would have happened before now."

"I haven't seen you since then," Jim said, shrugging and waiting on his order. "We all got shipped to those damn castles and then we all got old so it was tough to check in on you and your boo boo."

"My so-called 'boo boo' is fine." And still hideous. "I'm touched that you care."

"Of course I do," Jim replied with a laugh. "Why wouldn't I? How's the reaction been?"

Caffeine was never a bad thing, which was why no one should ever be surprised to see Kitty at the Perk. She spotted Stiles while she was ordering, and as soon as she got her drink, she headed over. "So, how are you doing?"

"Fine, great." He left out the word 'fantastic' for fear of going overboard. "How are you? Hi."

"Readjusting and it's all very weird," she said, taking a seat. "So you're that good, huh?"

Stiles shrugged a shoulder. "I won't lie, it was weird, but it's not that big of a deal. Wasn't real or anything."

[throughaphase]

"Felt real, though," she pointed out. Hence why it was kind of weird for her.

[robinonadderall]

"Yeah but it wasn't," Stiles said. "So it's not a big deal."

So people should stop making a big deal of it. Derek.

[throughaphase]

"So I take it you really don't want to talk about it," Kitty said.

[robinonadderall]

"There's really not anything to talk about," Stiles said, shoulders slumping a bit. "I mean, Derek's being weird, but seeing as he'd rather run out of my jeep naked than talk to me that's an issue that's not going to be resolved until he wants it to be."

He did not actually run out of the jeep naked. He just attempted to.

Jack had his iced coffee firmly in hand by the time he noticed Stiles and wandered over.

"I was just telling Derek I don't see you much," he said. "How are you? Recovering from married life?"

"Fully recovered," Stiles lied. "It wasn't that big of a deal, I mean, nobody died or anything."

Jack sighed. Sometimes he was wistful about life before he could hear when people were lying. "So, it hasn't been much fun for you either."

Stupid werewolves.

"I'm fine," he said. "I'm just slightly irritated because Derek's being an idiot, but that's nothing new. So I'm fine."

"I'm sorry," Jack said. "He was in the club last night. I'm not supposed to talk to you about sex, him, or his trousers."

So that left ... the weather?

"Like individually or all mixed together?" he asked. "Be weird if he banned me from asking you about sex altogether."

"And not that I mind questions, but it'd be weird if you decided I was a walking kama sutra, too," Jack answered. "I think he was irritated I made fun of him for asking me to tell you werewolves don't do male pregnancy." A pause. "Which they don't, by the way."

"Yeah I got a crash course in werewolf sex over the weekend," Stiles said. "My one fake kid was such an asshole. Though, not surprising, considering his father."
