"I'm not doing that, Carl, it's disgusting."

"Come on, I bet he'll like it."

Yeah, Stiles was still caught in a weird, unnecessary demon AU. And, no, you didn't want to know what Carl was trying to convince him to do.

"It seems very unsanitary," Stiles said, looking like he was talking to himself. Which was completely sane. "Can't we just feed ducks instead?"

Sometime before getting her stabbed on in the warehouse district, Kitty ended up at the park. And frowning.

"Hey," she greeted him. "Were you just talking to yourself?"

"What? No, that'd be ridiculous." And technically true, since he was talking to somebody else.

Carl added, "And if I was it'd be none of your business."

Rude, Carl. Rude.

"Uh, okay. I just heard you saying something about something being unsanitary and that's usually not a good sign." Everyone was just going to get funny looks from Kitty today.

"A lot of sexy things are unsanitary, sweetheart," Carl said.

Um. What.

"Um. What?" Kitty said, eloquently.

"You heard me," Carl said. "Stiles might have some issues with it but Derek never complains."

That's because Derek was whipped. Which remained true even outside weird weekends, though not in such a dirty manner.

Kitty paused.

"Are you talking about yourself in third person now or is this a thing?" she asked.

"Third person? No," Carl said. "I think it's firmly in the 'thing' category."

"I was afraid of that," Kitty sighed. This weekend, seriously. "So what's going on that I'm missing here?"

Carl smirked. "Come on, I'm not going to out and say it. I have a reputation to maintain, after all."

Priestly was running through the park. Shirtless. With a backwards baseball cap on.

That was what asshole guys did, right? They ran and wore backwards baseball caps.

The shirtlessness was just gratuitous, though. 'Cause: shirtless. Mmmm.

Oh, and also he was wearing his kilt, because that was something Priestly did all the time. No shirt, kilt. Worn traditionally. Which totally wasn't uncomfortable or anything. People probably did it all the time, right?

Yeah. Shirtless kilted running. Mmmm.

Well that wasn't an unwanted sight. Not if you were Carl. Stiles had a few issues because he was loyal something, but even he could appreciate the sight.

The wolf whistle when Priestly went by was all Carl. Stiles got possessed by the most embarrassing demon ever.

Priestly turned around to run backwards and flexed his arms to show off his muscles.

Then he almost tripped over a rock and had to windmill his arms a bit to catch himself, because character depth. Clumsiness as a flaw was not just for Mary Sues any more.

Stiles found that sort of endearing. It was so hot when manly men like Priestly showed vulnerability.

Carl, on the other hand, took control long enough to roll his eyes. Humans were so lame.

Priestly rolled his eyes back, then flicked Stiles off with both hands and turned back around to run forwards again.

There were others who would appreciate his many manly attributes, after all.

Natalie was hoping yesterday's weirdness was over. It was easy to keep that kind of a fantasy going with a natural inclination to keep to herself.

But the barista she'd purchased her iced coffee from had already acted a little off, so she was eyeing Stiles a little warily when she came across him on her way through the park.

"Hey, Stiles."

"Hey, Natalie," Stiles said. A normal enough response, even if Stiles was being slightly more cheerful than usual. Had to have a distinct contrast from the demon, after all. "How are things?"

"A little weird," Natalie replied. Blunt but honest. "So, the Fandom usual."

"Weird how?" he asked. "I don't feel like anything is weird."

Because that slow once over Natalie got courtesy of Carl was completely normal.

Perfectly normal!

Just maybe not as normal as Natalie's answering eyebrow raise. "Weird like people are acting a little off."

"Hm. Haven't noticed it," Stiles said. "You sure it's not just you?"

"Peter was wearing leather pants."

She didn't even care that that was hardly a universal sign of weirdness afoot. She knew how unusual it was.

"It's not just me, Stiles."

"What's wrong with leather pants?" Carl asked. Hey, demons were a fan of leather. Stiles' natural goofiness was the only reason Carl hadn't tried it with him. "Do you think you can't pull them off 'cause you could."

"... Thanks. I guess." Yeah, she was trying to decide whether she thought that comment was Stiles-like or not. It led to ever so slightly squinting at him. "Nothing wrong with them. Just not his style."

"You should make it your style," Carl suggested. "I'd enjoy it."
