The Kwik Stop- Sunday late morning/afternoon

So far it was only drizzling a little, so Kitty decided to hit up the Kwik Stop for a few things. Since leaving the helicarrier, she'd made good on her promise to do some waiting on Clint, and figured that she'd get some things and head back to the house. Plus by all the signs around the place there was some huge sale happening, so it looked like she had good timing there.

Yep, a totally normal day. Surely nothing would be happening, really!

[Post is totally open pre-sharknado. Post-sharknado it's just for those already in the store. Because it's hard to walk into what's basically an aquarium, yo.]

Yes, shopping, that's what Emma was in the Kwik Stop to do, there was no second verb involved here.

Which was why she totally wasn't paying more attention to the guy behind the counter or to where any cameras might be located than to the weather.

When Theo had woken up to rain, he'd decided to head into town to pick up some snacks since he figured he wouldn't be going out much today.

"Doritos! Get the Doritos!" Dev bellowed, jumping around.

"Or we could get something healthy. Healthy will only be beneficial."

"And disgusting!" Dev said, making a gagging sound.

Theo ignored them and grabbed some Hot Pockets. They were probably less healthy than Doritos anyway. But, they were good.

The issue with being an alien stranded on a different planet was this: you did not have a great deal of money to go around. What little bits Liara managed to earn by doing things she would rather not speak of on the internet--

-- clicking links and making fake twitter accounts, Goddess, you filthy minded humans! --

... went to small things.

Today, she had a modest craving for some human candy, and so that was what she was looking for, poking along the shelves at things she didn't recognize.

Since last week's trip to the island had been a scary fan girl experience, Bel decided to come back this weekend for a more normal visit. He made a brief stop at the Kwik Stop to grab something to drink. Or so he intended.

Mira was having a good time checking ingredients on random things and figuring out what could be turned into component parts for use in non-lethal grenades.

Look, you had your hobbies, Mira had hers.

"What the hell?" Emma managed before the water started flooding in and she made for the nearest shelf.

"What the hell?" Bel started to say as water poured in and he suddenly found himself treading water.

"Goddess!"

It didn't take Liara very long to start glowing blue (being a biotic had its advantages) but Goddess. Goddess!

...Shelves. Yes. That would be a good idea. Even if she climbed a bit like a drunken toddler.

Mira was unhappy. On pretty much every level, from the fact that being drenched in water while wearing this much leather was a pain in general to the fact that if this kept up she might drown, this wasn't fun.

"Why couldn't this be the other store?" she asked no one in particular as she started climbing a shelf. "I'm pretty sure I could get a life raft there."

Mira decided to be the crazy one who opened up the front doors and let the water out. But alas, THEY WOULD NOT OPEN. "Come on, you stupid... You're so lucky I don't have any rockets on me, or you'd be goners, doors."

If you were Emma, you stayed up on your shelf and left the swimming to people who could actually do it.

And slipped a few things that you could reach into your pockets while the lights and cameras were off.

Anyone who might have been paying attention to the water at all might have noticed something sticking out of the water. Was that a fin? And was it getting closer?

Yep, it was totally a fin and it was totally getting closer.

When everyone was nice and used to the idea of being locked in a room with a shark, that was pretty much the cue for the second shark to make its appearance.

What, you didn't think it'd just be one shark, right?

Well, too bad, there were two, and this one was making itself known by ramming one of the shelves.
