Streets of town- Saturday afternoon

It was Jaina's danger sense that had woken her up this morning rather than an alarm, which was a good thing since she wouldn't have heard it anyway. The deafness didn't freak her out too much, either. When you spent more than half your life in whatever war was going on, it was probably unreasonable not to get deafened by an explosion at least once. That had been more of a muted, ringing in the ears type of thing, though, where this was just a total absence of sound.

Despite this, when she saw the flying thing outside her window this morning (she made sure it was not around for long) she'd decided to grab her lightsaber and head into town to take some of them out, because who needed hearing anyway?

It was possible she'd been through like, way, way, way too many invasions by now.

Hi, Jaina! Batman was visiting his old teaching buddy. You'd just have to excuse him for a moment because he was trying to keep a wakwak in a full nelson (both its arms AND wings), forcing it to come crashing to the ground.

The way it scraped across the ground suggested that next time, the wakwaks might consider clothes. Anyway, once it skidded to a rather painful stop on the street, Batman got up, tied it up, and gave Jaina a nod.

Batman returned the thumbs up, then fired his grapple at a rooftop to go back to hunting. Perhaps there was no rest for the wicked. But there was nothing but work for the Batman.

Two wakwaks were hovering together when they noticed Jaina, and they screeched in unison as they dove down, one on each side of her.

The first wakwak let out a shriek as it was sliced, and the other shrieked in anger, its talons out to scratch her in return.

Did the wakwaks count, because that severed foot kind of stung. The wakwak flew around her, dripping blood and trying to find a nice piece of tasty unguarded flesh to bite.

Yes, as a matter of fact, it very much minded being stabbed, and if Jaina could hear, the sharp noise it made as it fell to the ground might have been very satisfying.

Jaina could probably see the gurgling of the wakwak's throat as it died as much as she would have been able to hear it. But now there was ickyness all over her lightsaber, so there.
