Happily, April had evaded this weekend's bout of Fandom torture. Unhappily, a couple of dogs from the shelter... really hadn't.  They seemed really traumatized by the experience.

April would have brought them in, but, while she didn't usually care much about health and safety at the bar, a couple of dachshunds humping the bar would have been pushing it, she felt.

Nikolai wasn't here for the music, really. He was far more interested in something that Allie had suggested he try, earlier in the week. He was here for the zombies in particular, thankful that it was a fairly quiet night at the bar.

It really only took him a moment to make certain that nobody was looking his way except for one of the members of the band, and a moment more to pull down his shades, looking the drummer in those dead-looking eyes for what had to be a full half-minute before frowning and putting them back into place again.

Right, then. So it wasn't just vampires and those harpy things that were immune to his gaze. That was good to know.

... That said, he was going to spend the rest of the evening sitting at the bar, flagging down Tino for booze. This was a booze kind of evening.
