Sushi station- Saturday afternoon

While Kitty was more than happy to actually feel like herself today, being distracted by hormones meant that she hadn't worried too much about what Logan would think when he got here. And yesterday had involved a surprise meeting with Clint's brother and being checked out by Xavier (never clean again, oh god) and by that point Kitty had remembered that there wasn't really any reason to be nervous when Fandom was just going to throw a few curveballs at you anyway.

"So," Kitty said as they sat down for lunch. "Thoughts so far?"

"This place is weird, even by our standards," Logan said. "But they have good sushi. So there's that."

"And here I'd been putting this place on par with our weird stuff," Kitty said. "I think the weird part is everyone just shrugs it off."

"Yesterday I walked into town and my healin' factor started filtering out the strangest pollen I've ever inhaled," Logan said. "Any place that makes me say that sentence is pretty weird."

"Well, yeah," she conceded, "but you get used to it. And it's just once in a while."

"Good to know," Logan said. "Other than that, it's nice. Kinda quiet so far. But what's this I hear about a sock hop?"

"The Student Council puts on a little party now that everyone's met up with each other. Apparently they're going a little 50's today." She had no idea why but she already knew not to ask. "You gonna go?"

"That depends. How are the bars around here?" Logan checked.

"Well, mine is awesome," Kitty said humbly.

"I'll probably be there," Logan said.

Up until he found out it was a karaoke bar. Then he'd go to the sock hop. Lesser of two evils.

"Fine by me. I have no problem taking your money," Kitty nodded.

"Happy to oblige," Logan said, tipping his hat. "So how're you gettin' along here when I'm not makin' you a fortune in bar tabs?"

"Actually? Pretty great," Kitty admitted, and the fact that she didn't have any real complaints still surprised her. "I like the bar, I love teaching, Clint's great, I've got friends... It's a little freaky."

"Sounds nice," Logan said. "Is there ever anything to hit? Wouldn't want you losin' your edge."

Taking a break from being in his office, Clint went to grab lunch for himself and Barney. Sure, Barney would probably have preferred a burger or four, but it was Clint's job as the more culturally experienced brother to make Barney try new things. At least, that was what he was going with as he looked over the menu.

"Well hello there," Kitty greeted him with a smile, coming over because there were things to potentially talk about this weekend.

After all their time dating, Clint shouldn't have been apprehensive about talking to Kitty, but he also had an idea of what might be a topic of conversation, and that made him a little nervous. "Hello to you too. How's your weekend going?"

Well it wasn't like Kitty ever asked questions he didn't want to answer oh wait.

"Really good. How about you?" she asked, a little cautiously.

"Uh, a lot better than I thought I'd be," Clint said, deciding to go for honesty. "I heard you met my brother."

"I did. A little bit of a shock, but he seems okay," Kitty said. "How is it, having him here?"

"Weird? But good weird," Clint said. "I didn't think he would have come, if I'd asked."

"Really? He seemed to think you sent the invite."

Sorry, Barney.

"I didn't though. I wouldn't have--I didn't think he'd want to come here. I mean, we haven't even talked in... a while," Clint admitted.

"Kinda got that impression. He thought you were still in New York," she said, and paused. "Mind if I ask why you guys weren't talking?"

She knew he wouldn't want to answer, but she kinda had to ask.

"It's complicated," Clint said, without missing a beat. Sorry, Kitty. "We didn't always get along, and sometimes we really didn't get along. But he's my brother and he's the only family I have left, so I can't stay mad, and I don't think he can either."

"That's a good thing." Don't think she hadn't seen the hugs, Clint. It'd been adorable. "How complicated is it?"
