The Boards, Sunday
Drac's week had been... interesting. He wasn't going to talk about it.
He was happy to be out of his rooms, though, and flew his way quickly through the daylight and into the theatre through his office window, ready for the last rounds of discussion with Jonothon about the casting. He was actually pleased to find one of those sticky yellow pieces of note paper on his desk that read Final Draft Casting in what appeared to be a drunken, scrawly version of the director's handwriting. Underneath it was a folder that contained the former drafts of the cast list.
Including the latest:
"Joni? Isn't that..." As if she thought she was expected, Joni wandered into Drac's office and leapt onto his desk and proceeded to bathe herself. Drac couldn't help laughing. "I knew we were having trouble deciding the roles, but I don't think we're desperate enough to cast the cat in every role."
Joni stopped her grooming to give Drac a stern look, though the rear leg in the air and the tongue still sticking partway out ruined the dramatic effect she was probably going for.
Drac tsked at her. "Not that I doubt your talents, but to perform all the roles would be exhausting even for a diva like yourself. And I don't remember this 'David' person auditioning; what if he is not up to being your co-star?"
That seemed to mollify her and she mewled before returning to her grooming. Amused, Drac went rifling through the folder for the previous draft of role assignments and notes on the auditions. After an hour or so, he had a final list ready that seemed satisfactory... although he had a few minor roles uncast.
He wandered down to the main area of the theatre to look for Jonothon and to post what they did have assigned so that the actors could clear their calenders for rehearsals.
He stopped in the hallway and stared. There was an area of the carpet outside Jonothon's office that was blocked off by the satin theatre ropes from downstairs. "WHO MOVED THE STANCHIONS?!!"
[Jekyll and Hyde it is! Cast roles will be in the OCD! Script and rehearsal info coming soon! Thanks everyone, this really was hard to cast!]

Cast list!!
He then set about hanging up a few (handwritten) copies of the cast list (https://docs.google.com/document/d/188xeDzA67ErO7vpWumEb2qgfbjsyQJLxKwu1vl7enZo/pub).

Chat to the Directors
And if David Bowie isn't around to scare Jono into fanboy silence <3
Re: Chat to the Directors
Re: Chat to the Directors
"Hey, Mr. Director! You missed one!"
Little did she know how Jonothon planned on fixing that.
Re: Chat to the Directors
The champagne hangover.
Worth it. Mostly. Except...
"... Who moved the stanchions?"
Re: Chat to the Directors
It was so not about to get any better. You see, someone in charge of sending out fliers and letters and things had sent a flier to Parents' Weekend to Karla.
About Jono.
War or not, there was no way she was passing this opportunity up. As soon as her portal opened up, she was running towards the Boards wearing a grin that boded well for no one who was not her.
"JONOTHON EVAN STARSMORE!" she demanded, loudly, as soon as she got to his office. "What is the meaning of this?!"
Re: Chat to the Directors
Yeah, he would grasp that the LOUD THING was Karla in a bit. For the time being, mostly he was concerned with the ringing inside of his skull.
Re: Chat to the Directors
Fandom High Office? She loved you.
And with a very loud, very fake gasp, she added "Have you been drinking?!"
Re: Chat to the Directors
And never going to London again, at this rate.
Until the next time he did, of course.
Re: Chat to the Directors
This letter was getting framed and hung up on her wall.
"For Parents' Weeeeeekend!"

Re: Chat to the Directors
She was rather loud for being related to his fellow director, but perhaps her gift of volume translated into Jonothon's gift of melody?
Either way, the proper thing to do would be to make an appearance, apologize for his rudeness... and ask that she keep her voice down so that business may be conducted. He tucked his hands into his cloak headed towards the office.
Imagine his surprise when the person he saw was not a large elderly blue-grey woman with a large mouth.
Well, you can imagine it, or you can look at the Count's face.
Re: Chat to the Directors
The cheerful smile fell away as she took in Drac's appearance and her hand crept up to the side of her neck.
Sorry, Drac. A bit of residual vampire trauma is all. Laaa.
"And you are...?"
Re: Chat to the Directors
Someone else was kinda hungover too, jeez, Karla. owiiie.
Re: Chat to the Directors
"BAD INFLUENCE!"
Re: Chat to the Directors
A pause.
"HI KARLA!"
Re: Chat to the Directors
It was nice to see that everyone had missed her.
"LEAVE ANY DECAPITATED HORSE HEADS IN ANYONE'S BED RECENTLY?"
Re: Chat to the Directors
Re: Chat to the Directors
Wait. Was it her? Hmmm.
Re: Chat to the Directors
And that cat toy being thrown violently through Jono's office door was probably not being thrown with Joni in mind.
Re: Chat to the Directors
She poked her head through the door. "Ready to run off to Tahiti yet?"
Re: Chat to the Directors
Well, last night had been amazing. He was at least fairly certain around the headache that there'd been a threesome with David Bowie involved.
