Student Council Potluck Thanksgiving, Community Center, Thursday
Despite all the years she'd lived in Fandom, Zoe was still a little vague on some of the details of Thanksgiving. However, she did have enough information that she was fairly certain the holiday wasn't celebrated with glitter, and yet, once the community center was decorated for the potluck, there were glitter-covered paper cutouts of turkeys all over the place.
Really, she just wasn't going to question it anymore, and hopefully anyone who was still around for the holiday would be too busy enjoying the food enough to notice.
[For anyone who's still in Fandom for Thanksgiving! Up early so I don't forget when I wake up!]

Or something.
"So impressive, Flick."

He didn't know where that'd come from but he didn't care. He didn't meant it seriously or anything.

He nodded.
"Make me cheer up."
Still not said seriously, of course, but he sounded pretty amused too.
Re: Om Nom Nom Thanksgiving
"You're an attractive and intelligent enough individual who's managed to keep me from wandering off through this conversation, so there's no reason you shouldn't cheer up for at least a second."
That wasn't a serious attempt, either.
Re: Om Nom Nom Thanksgiving
"Nice effort," he complimented with a nod. "I'm almost cheered up. Pretty close now. I can sense happiness in my future."
He still wasn't going to be all that serious because it was a thing right now.

Which was what made it so easy for her to lean in to press a kiss on his cheek. And to be a flirt.
"Just not as much as I could give you at my best."
It didn't mean anything.
Re: Om Nom Nom Thanksgiving
"You saying you're not at your best right now?" he wondered, nodding like that made all the sense in the world. "That's such a brave thing to admit. Maybe you'll achieve your best. One day."
He smiled.

Anyway.
Flick said, "Stand still," and returned her gesture of earlier by pressing a kiss against her cheek. "Appreciate you not running away today. Thanks."
He said it very quietly and sincerely before he stepped back and exhaled. He could drop the image for a moment and let some emotion out. Rare but doable.
Re: Om Nom Nom Thanksgiving
She looked a little more unguarded, herself, when he stepped back. That didn't mean much, either, and then it was gone. "Happy Thanksgiving," she said. "That's what they say, right?"

Isabelle... Okay, she was probably going to just have a little something more for dessert, and then bail. Not her scene, either.
"Bye."
She waved him off in the same dismissive way she did most people.
