Conversational Lithuanian, Tuesday evening
Hannibal nodded at the class and watched them as they took their seats. Older people were less malleable than students, but might have more experience; you never knew where you might find a good recruit.
Hannibal's clothes were more casual, his shirt unbuttoned; he had earrings in both ears and a few flashy rings on. He was more loudly confident and less refined, and he smelled a bit like smoke. His accent was heavier than it had been last week.
“So — good vocabulary this time!” he announced with a smirk, writing it on the board.

Listen to the lecture, ask questions
Re: Listen to the lecture, ask questions
Or, well, most of them did. He had a moment, while he was committing this new vocabulary to memory, where he sort of lingered on 'dangerous,' took Hannibal's new attitude and outward appearance into consideration, and then... shrugged it off.
He wasn't being outright antagonistic. Hannibal could have any manner of unsavoury habits and Jono wouldn't get too concerned. Besides, he had a lingering sort of feeling that this wasn't the first time Hannibal had been not-quite-himself lately, though he couldn't entirely put a finger on why. Most of the other week was a bit of a haze for some reason.
Re: Listen to the lecture, ask questions
"Professor Jono?" she asked, in a low voice, once the lecture had finished. "Might I ... speak with you?"
Re: Listen to the lecture, ask questions
//Of course, Eleanor. Is something the matter?//
Re: Listen to the lecture, ask questions
Little sisters could sort through the memories without being overwhelmed, but no little sister had been exposed to as much ADAM as she had. Maybe the memories were starting to leak somehow?
"But that's not ... why I wanted to talk to you," she continued, carefully. "It's not me, that is. It's you."
Re: Listen to the lecture, ask questions
Well, that was an interesting turn of events. Jonothon crossed his arms over his chest, his mask tilting a little, as if he was actually tilting his head at her curiously.
//And why, pray, would that be, luv? I haven't done something to offend, have I?//

He was having one of those. Oh yes.

About a decade, in fact. It had been a little bit of time since they'd gone and knocked his head clean off.
And a long story.

Sheba told herself it was the whole oeuvre, not just the thicker accent that read "cement shoes" to her. Though she had to admit, growing up in a fairly xenophobic culture meant the accent was not helping.
Neither was the bottom of that vocab list. That bit wasn't helping at all.

This wasn't one of those times.
He was unusually quiet during the class, wary of this new version of Dr. Lecter. He didn't seem like someone whose attention he wanted to court.
Re: Listen to the lecture, ask questions
So, she was carefully repeating the new words, and adding in all the ones she'd learned over the last few weeks (since she hadn't missed any classes due to Vegas).
