The Park, Wednesday Night
There were creepy things that needed killing on the island. Of course Allie was out and about.
She was a little bloody and scratched up because the damn flying fish were fast, but other then that she was fine and focused on getting the mummy at her feet to JUST. STAY. DEAD.
"Seriously," she muttered as its barely wrapped arms pulled its upper body across the ground. "Do I need to set you on fire or something?"

At least she was wearing her duster and goggles combination. Some things were constant no matter what gender Nick was.
"The fact that I'm pretty sure I brought a T-Rex to its knees out by the causeway almost makes up for how both those assholes and the fish are immune to my eyes entirely." She walked up to the mummy and crouched down in front of it, and then pulled out a handful of zip-ties from a pouch on her belt. "I've just been leaving them tied to lamp-posts. They do burn pretty well, though, when it comes to that."

"So that's a new look for you."

She put her hands on her hips, striking a pose.
"Have I lost weight or something?"

"Well, damn." She squinted a little at Allie, trying to figure out if she was just pulling her leg or something. "... Just wait until I break it to my mother."
The mummy writhed about, trying to reach for Nick's ankle with its bound hands. She stomped down on its throat, neatly snapping its head free in a cloud of old dust.
"And here I was hoping I had managed to miss out on the island's latest bout of crazy. Am I at least an attractive guy?"
She was still as vain as Nikolai, at least.

Since it seemed to be quiet for the moment, she sheathed her sword and grinned at Nick. "I'm not answering that question on the grounds that once this insanity is over and he's back, I'm going to have to look him in the eye. Besides, I doubt either of your egos need that much stroking."
So yes, very attractive.

Yeah, no, there probably wasn't a Nikolai-equivalent in the multiverse who really needed it. Yet. She kept her hands on her hips and just grinned at Allie.
"How about the bike? At least tell me that some male me still had the good sense to get the bike."

And the same sense of humor.
And the same grin.
It was strangely comforting.
"We just went for a ride to Baltimore a week or so ago."
no subject
Ah, her pride.
"I stand by my vow to grab you first, one of these days. It'll happen." A beat. "Unless you don't remember any of that. In which case... forget everything I just said. I totally kicked your ass."

In fairness, the bear had it coming.
"Bet I could catch you this time."
Probably not. But there was definitely a lot of adrenaline on the go right now, even if she wasn't riding tier four.

And then she was taking off toward Allie in a blur of a run.
Because when Vikings and dinosaurs and flying zombie piranhas attacked the island, clearly the thing to do was play vampire tag.

Was that the edge of Allie's coat, billowing just out of Nick's reach? So close....
Laughing, Allie raced towards the pond.
no subject
She was totally going to end up in that pond, wasn't she?
no subject
Which mostly involved stopping at the edge of the pond and waiting to dodge out of the way at the last second as Nick approached.

She mostly snickered.
"Sorry about that." No, not really.

Cold. Cold. Cold. Wasn't spring supposed to be warm?
Nikoleta was way too LA for Maryland in March, sometimes.
"Okay, so I won't be catching you this time."

"Guess that'll serve me right, hm? At least it'll be fairly quick and painless. I can change, and then get right back at it." She grinned again. "Maybe I'll find another t-rex."
It was possible she was still a little high on life. Literally.

Because this was the most fun she had in a while.

She shook her head a little.
"I can't picture that. Being one for my whole life. But at least the rest of what we remember seems to match up. I'd be more concerned, otherwise."
She fortunately didn't remember last week, when she was not only a man, but a man with no powers because he'd never actually made it to Greece. Fun times.
[Bedtime for me! SP?]

"I think we're the lucky ones. From listening to radio it seems like others have had some more extreme changes." Allie laughed lightly. "Considering my werewolf friend is now a vampire, I'm afraid of waking up as a werewolf. Although I suppose that means you could make me spaghetti again."
[Yay SP! Sleep is good! Night!]

She certainly hadn't been until Allie had pointed it out.

She nodded down to the mummy, which was still twitching a little, even if it wasn't actually going anywhere without its head.
