In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Tiny was dressed in a serape and a sombrero while the DJ played mariachi music. Jack tried to tell them that was offensive stereotyping, but only got an eyeroll and a sombrero dropped on his head for his troubles.
He glowered from under the sombrero for the rest of the night. The sign outside the club read:
Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Special: Bottomless Margaritas
(as long as you don't annoy us.)
Jack felt that final comment added a nice touch.

Despite that one time she'd been absolutely convinced she could go to Japan and teach English.
"Even in Fandom."

Because she was a sentimental fool.

"That's adorable," he said. "Find any copies of Casablanca or fingerless gloves in the desk drawers yet?"
