There was some sort of big soccer thing going on according to Tiny. He was trying to explain the finer points of the game to Allie. Which mostly involved showing her pictures of various players and how he ranked them according to their leg muscles.

It was going to be a long night.

"Am I interrupting?" Kitty asked when she got to the bar and noticed the show and tell.

"Tiny was explaining how he ranks the hotness of the Spanish soccer team," Allie replied. "So no, not at all. What's up?"

"I was bored and came to say hi," she said. "But I can look at hot soccer players if that's tonight's activity."

"I think we'll have a whole month to appreciate them if I understand Tiny correctly," she laughed.

"I might get bored of them in a month," Kitty admitted. Besides, it wasn't like they could really compete with the arms she already had access to. "Or maybe I'll just get tired of the soccer. And the people insisting it's football."

Very nice arms. Allie was undead. Not blind.

"I don't know or care enough about the game to get into that debate," Allie admitted. "Sports aren't really my thing."

"I can take or leave most of them, except baseball," Kitty said. "Then I'm a fanatic right up until the Cubs destroy me again. But I'm always a hometeam rooter."

Allie shook her head. "They're not a good team?"

No. Not really.

"It's a rebuilding year," Kitty said automatically.

"And how long has that been going on?" she asked, recognizing the deflection.

There was a long pause.

"1908."

Allie bit back a laugh. "That's dedication."

"You know what, though, the farm teams are looking really good this year, and it's going to be enough to get things in place for the future. That's the important part," Kitty said.

"What do farms have to do with it?" Yup, Allie had reached the point where she couldn't even fake that she knew what she was talking about.

"That's how they get new players. They Stuart out from the bottom and then get scouted up to the majors," Kitty explained.

"So figure of speech then," she nodded, filing the information away. "I suppose at some point I should actually watch a game."

"This is just going to make me see when the Cubs are playing Baltimore for a night game," she said.

"Just tell me when. You know what my schedule is like."
