The Perk- Sunday late afternoon/evening

Jaina had always meant to come back to Fandom a lot more often than she did these days. She'd just gotten busy with work, and family stuff, and having a very busy boyfriend who lived planets away in another government. But she had a few days free without anything bad happening, and and Jag was coming to Coruscant next week and once that happened her time was probably going to be eaten up even more.

She got to town later than intended (stupid portals) and of course the first thing she did was head to the Perk, where she got coffee and sent a text to people letting them know she was in town. Then she got to trying to catch up on radio broadcasts since she'd been gone, realizing that she was pretty okay with things being mostly normal back home.

"Hello, stranger," Anakin said, eyes shining as he came into the shop.

"Hello," Jaina smiled, getting up to hug him. "It's been a while."

Two months, but it felt like longer.

[sith_happened]

"I've missed you," Anakin said, hugging her tightly, "and not just because Bel's teaching a class devoted to annoying me."

[solo_sword]

"Yeah, I heard about that," Jaina said, trying not to smile. "I'd ask how that got past the administration, but... it's Fandom."

"Zoe likes messing with me," Anakin said. "Or someone was very drunk over in admissions. I think it's the moose."

[solo_sword]

"If you were a moose working in an office, wouldn't you be drunk, too?" Jaina countered.

[sith_happened]

"That is an excellent point," Anakin replied.

[solo_sword]

"I make them occasionally," she shrugged. "How are things going?"

[sith_happened]

"Other than Bel, fine," he said. "I'm teaching flight again and have discovered I'm horribly out of practice. It's embarrassing."

"Jaina!" Ben (with a neatly trimmed beard, but yes, a beard) yelled, grinning as he practically leaped on her in excitement.

"And hello to you too," Jaina laughed, hugging him back. "It's like you're glad to see me or something."

"This is how I greet everyone in the coffee shop," Ben proclaimed.

[solo_sword]

"Then I've been gone longer than I thought," she said, taking in the beard. "Are you okay? Is there something to brood over?"

Was that not what his beard meant?

"Just trying to look a little older," Ben said, reaching up and scratching at it.

[solo_sword]

"You make me feel old enough as it is without it," Jaina smiled. She was grateful it wasn't out of control, though.

Oh, Ender would shave him in his sleep if it got close to fake-reunion levels of stupid.

"You look...like my Jaina, really," Ben admitted.

[solo_sword]

"I'd hope so," Jaina said. "Hopefully that includes the right number of limbs and everything, too."

After sundown, a tall, blond Viking loitered in the doorway. "You've left Jag and come back to me," he declared, smiling. "I always knew it would happen."

"Yes, of course, that's totally what happened, how did you know?" Jaina smiled.

"I can read minds," Eric said, nodding.

[solo_sword]

"If I didn't know you were lying that'd be terrifying," she said. "It's good to see you, get over here."

"I always knew I'd get you to come around to public sex," Eric said, smirking.

[solo_sword]

"Down, boy. This is just for a hug you have no choice in getting," she said.

[texted3times]

"I suppose I'll settle," Eric said, hugging her hard enough to make her feet come off the floor.

Because he was tall and enjoyed lording that over her.

"And now I'm airborne," she noticed.
