Dite's Decadent Delights [Tuesday]
Of all weekends to explore the mainland. Of all weekends.
Irene had figured out how to download old radio broadcasts to her phone, and had spent the morning putting away her new clothes (Sherlock had marvelous taste, of course, but she did like to go shopping on her own) and listening. The stories she'd heard of collective insanity were clearly true, and while she was mostly concerned about what had happened to her own shop (and how anyone had gotten a key in the first place), she had to admit the whole thing amused her more than it should.
Possibly because she hadn't been involved. She might have found it a lot less funny if she'd been afflicted.
Once she arrived at the shop, Irene set to work trying to see if anything had been disturbed this weekend -- so far, nothing, but she also knew better than to think that what she was seeing superficially was accurate. She was already planning on spending the afternoon checking what sorts of calls had been made from the phone, whether the cash drawer was off, and checking the inventory. (Particularly the edibles, since that sounded like what had been used this weekend, if anything from her normal inventory.)
Honestly, she was already a paranoid sort of person, and her new shop being affected by some sort of oddness and Irene herself being unaware of it put her ill at ease, even in the wake of how funny she found all of this.
[open shop is open!]

Talk to Irene [07/15]
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
He stepped in, sipping some tea, and took a look around.
"Counting your riches?" he asked as he wandered closer. "Are the sex starved teenagers finally paying off?"
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
This just meant that she was going to get it doubly bad next time something happened, but she didn't know that.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
And he hadn't even had it that bad. He just thought he did because he was melodramatic and not fond of not being himself.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
She'd gotten the gist of what sort of weekend it had been, yes, if not all the details.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
He rubbed at his neck in remembrance of that awful bow tie. "All I did was run a terribly named restaurant, that ended up being set on fire, and get threatened because all I was completely on the up and up. Honesty, morality and loyalty. That was me and it was bloody awful."
He gagged again and tried to soothe his pain with another sip of the tea he'd brought over from his restaurant.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
Because she was curious.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
He'd had curtains and tables replaced anyway because he didn't even want to take a chance of fire damage being found by some overly observant eye.
"As for photos of myself in the tuxedo, unless some roving reporter snapped one when I was flailing about like a fish trying to put the fire out, I don't think I have one, no. Why are you asking?"

Also she was supposed to look for stuff but first things first.
"So, welcome to Fandom, we're really weird," she greeted her.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
She paused, making sure her twenties and tens were in nice stacks, and added, "I'm really very broken up about it." Obviously. "Anything happen to you?"

But where she had spent her weekend was much less interesting than what Kitty had said. "Were we not much for following actual judicial procedure, this weekend? It sounds like everyone was a bit...reactionary."

He eyed the woman at the counter for a moment suspiciously. Because he was Derek, okay?
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
She could be helpful when she felt like it.
Re: Talk to Irene [07/15]
Derek frowned still, but it was slightly less suspicious. "Does it wash out of fabric?"
