Dite's Decadent Delights [Thursday]

Someone had listened to the radio. And someone was quite happy that her students had actually taken it upon themselves to go look things up.

So someone also decided that she probably ought to go in and open up the shop today, just in case anyone had anything they wanted to investigate further after seeing what they saw yesterday.

(Irene didn't know what sort of pornography had been viewed, but she was sure that a roomful of teenagers watching it meant that it wouldn't be a bad idea if she made a little display of condoms and lubrication right near the entrance today.)

Besides, it gave her a reason to decorate for Halloween. So that would be Irene in her stocking feet on a chair, her red-soled shoes neatly discarded on the floor so she wouldn't break her neck climbing in heels, hanging cobwebs and black-and-purple tinsel from the ceiling.

It wasn't tacky. It was festive.

"You ought to give haunted tours of your place, or something," Irene said thoughtfully. "Get Mike and Stiles to jump out at people from around corners and so on. You'd make a killing."

Sparkle really didn't need a helping hand, no. Sparkle knew this place inside and out, and even gave a soft little "Heh" as he stepped into the shop today and took a look around.

Yeah, he still kind of loved this place.

"Hey," he said, giving Irene a bit of a nod before he leaned over to peruse the condom display.

"Hello," Irene called, a little sing-songy just because she was in a good mood.

"We just got some new flavored ones in," she offered, when she noticed where Sparkle's attention was directed. "There's a Tahitian Vanilla that's supposedly not bad."

She wasn't really one to use condoms on the regular (for obvious reasons) but she could make recommendations!

"Yeah?" Sparkle went for a rummage, and then held up the flavour in question, giving it a once-over. "You know, I might have to get these. Now I'm curious. I usually go with the root beer ones."

Because... Sparkle liked root beer, what?

"But I'm actually not really here to condom shop," he added, giving her a wry smile. "Much as it's good to have them around just in case."

"Oh!" Well, if Irene hadn't been pleased to see him before (and she had been!), she was certainly delighted now! "Oh, are you Sparkle?"

She had records, you see! Records!

"You want your job back? 'Cause you're really my only employee and I'd love to have you. And thank you." She fluttered a little bit of tinsel at him playfully. "I'm trying to keep it festive, at the moment."

Sparkle... was so not sure what to do with 'delighted,' honestly, but he plastered on a grin all the same. And maybe even laughed a bit when the tinsel was fluttered around.

"Yeah, that's me. I'm the one who maybe accidentally kind of broke the rooster's tail off." Poor cock. "Um. But I do take the job seriously and everything. It's a good place to work."

Obviously. She seemed to like it, anyway, having bought the place or whatever.

"I think my chair'll work, unless I get especially ambitious," Irene told him, glancing down with a smile. "And provided you don't judge me for leaving Louboutins unattended like that. I didn't want to risk twisting a heel and breaking my neck."

Though they would rather be helpful in terms of giving her another three inches, here, but she didn't really need them that badly, either.

"Oh, it is," Irene assured him, sticking a bit of orange streamer up to the ceiling, "so I'm trying to make it a little more fun for them. There was apparently quite pornography-viewing party in the dormitories yesterday, and as I am partially responsible and likely to see an influx of visitors as a result...well, I thought I might make it festive in here."
