Christmas was over and Mike was stoked. Seriously, he hadn't been in this good a mood in ages. He'd managed to avoid a repeat of his amazing holiday slump from last year, and now the season was almost done along with the year, and he felt pretty good.

That meant he was dancing behind the bar, in his tank top and his backwards cap. It was what he felt most at home in! And he deserved that, for having had such a quiet and private Christmas.

"So does that mean you have to be prepared for New Year's, or just done with 2014?" Kitty asked, taking a seat at the bar.

"Either is fine," Mike said, because he was easy. In so many ways. "It's totally up for interpretation."

[ooc: Whoops, crashed early last night.]

"Good, then I get a discount at my bar for nebulous reasons," Kitty grinned.

"Certainly, ma'am." She was just going to have to deal with him moving smoothly to the music as he made his way over to the alcohol. "Any particular requests?"

"How about a whiskey sour," she said, smiling a little. "Someone's in a good mood."

"Someone has to be, sometimes." In particular when it was a massive change from the previous holiday. But he didn't need to get into that, did he? Because he didn't want to. "And this seems like a good time for it, y'know? New year and all."

[throughaphase]

"Yep. And it seems like most people had a rotten year that seems to be looking better now," Kitty said. "Might as well go with it."

[newroutines]

"Exactly," Mike said emphatically. And just look at the way he rolled his shoulders in time with the band when he slid her drink over. "So, what's the verdict, Kitty Cat? Is 2015 going to be better?"

"Of course," Kitty said. "This year was weird. Also if anyone says no to that, they're obviously having a rough time."
