The park, Thursday afternoon

Bob had spent yesterday back home helping Harry, and had completely missed the shrieking eels. He wasn't exactly disappointed about that, no. He'd made sure to get back by this afternoon, though, because he had an appointment with Anders, to see what the boy could do.

So, he was out in the park, enjoying being outside again, ignoring the still-faintly-eely smell, and waiting.

"I've never really tried anything like that before," he said, making a face at picturing himself eating eel. "That sounds slimy."

"Eel's not bad stewed," Anders said thoughtfully. "It's the raw that puts me off. Raw anything is slimy."

"Maybe it's prepared in a way where there's no slime?" Nathan asked, trying to sound hopeful.

"I guess?" Anders said, straining for equal hopefulness. "Anyhow,they must have other food, right? They can't just sell raw eel."

"I'll go," Nathan decided, shrugging. "Providing nothing comes up or the island's not being completely insane."

"We probably wouldn't go if the island was insane anyhow," Anders shrugged. "Thanks. I'll let you know when we pick a day."

Nathan nodded then teased, "Better get back to your training or practice or exhibition. Wouldn't want you to fall down on your skills."

"Or abuse Bob's patience too much," Anders agreed with an amused snort. "Right. See you later."
