The Devil's Nest, Friday Evening

Allie was at the bar poking at her phone.

Tino was behind the bar.

Gremlins were playing poker in the lounge.

The DJ was playing the Greatest Hits of Elvis.

It was just another night at the Devil's Nest.

It had been a while since Kitty had been in to see Allie, so tonight she figured she could pop in for a little while and yes okay she wanted to make sure Clint didn't get sick of her by getting out now and then, yes she was paranoid about that thank you. "Hey, how goes it?" she greeted her.

Allie glanced towards the lounge, just to make sure everyone was behaving. "Not bad," she replied. "As long as they remember to behave themselves. What's up with you?"

Kitty couldn't help but look over there. "Not much. Thought I'd get out for a while... Does that happen often?"

"Often enough," Allie shrugged. "They buy drinks, so I'm not going to chase away paying customers. And they know better then to bite me."

Perhaps it was the shiny sword resting within easy reach that made them behave.

Allie had to snicker. "For a potentially scary creature of the night, I live a really boring life. I've been reading, like always. And working my way through the movies Nick gave me before he moved back to LA."
