You know what was fun? Diving out of one portal just in time to start setting up the waiting area for the next portal. Which was exactly what Atton was doing right now.

Okay, so the paper sign with the hasty 'TRIP GATHER UP HERE' note wasn't the classiest thing anyone had ever produced, but it got the job done, right?

So he'd be there, with his luggage, waiting. Gather on up, students. It's time to go on holiday.

Two days at the Jedi Temple had been juuuust about enough for Atton to reassemble some of his scrambled egg brain so he could put up a decent front. He was hanging out by his bag (full of what little warm weather gear he had), waiting for people to show up.

Kinda wishing he'd taken an earlier portal so he'd at least had had the opportunity to relax in his apartment for five minutes.

Obi-Wan had returned to Tatooine to check on the child yesterday, and he had left the eopies there to roam the desert until his return. It seemed the most humane option for them while he was away, even if he was... somewhat confused as to how he had gotten roped into this trip.

Probably Anakin's fault.

He was here now. He had not packed much.

These trips always left Edward feeling excited-- though it was a more muted excitement than some, considering how exhausted he felt after the previous week.

Still, he was there, wondering idly if what few clothes he had would be suitable for the West Indies. Probably not.

"So," Isabelle said lightly, like this was any old social check-in, "exactly how much do you hate me now?"

"Jaysus, Isabelle," Edward said, sounding mostly exhausted, "Talk about an opener."

She wasn't very good at skirting around issues, or being sheepish.

"What?" she asked. "I like to know where I stand."

Why were they leaving? What was the point of this? Could Cassandra not stay and perhaps figure out how this portal system could bring her back home-- with Anders, of course?

Grumpy baby Seeker was grumpy, and not at all dressed for warm weather.

Mara, who was in a much better mood this week after a night of ass-kicking clubbing in LA, was there promptly with her bags of weapons of clothing. She was looking forward to seeing the sun again. This snow was for someone else.

Four, after the intensity of last week, was looking a little sheepish around the eyes (because he was many things but hugely demonstrative wasn't really one of them), and was kind of ready for a change of scenery to someplace that wasn't the dorms.

He'd barely even heard of Mexico, but sure, let's go!

It was another blissful week free of children, so Anakin frankly didn't care where they were going. Juliet and Chris had been shipped up to New England to help shovel snow (he was pretty sure Luke had been kidding about that) and he and Rory were off to...wherever it was they were going this week.

He hadn't looked. He hadn't cared. Vacation: yes please, that was Anakin's motto.

Ezra was practically bouncing in place while he waited for the portal. The school wanted to haul him somewhere nice for a week? Hell yes he was going to be happy about that.

He also had a still-impressive bag of leftover candy with him. Vacation snacks? Vacation snacks.

Isabelle was feeling weary and tired for a few reasons. So of course she was wearing sunglasses and looking statuesque in her heels and her long coat, her bags on the ground next to her.

Concealing things was her favorite game.

Face and his duffel were there bright and not particularly early.

And maybe a tiny bit homesick for Pantolomin, he wondered how the cruises here differed from back there.

Luxury cruise paid for by the school? Emma was there with bells on.

Not literally. It seemed prudent to point that out rather than tempt the island.

Sparkle still really just wanted to crawl back into bed. All of this 'being awake' and 'waiting for the portal' garbage was for people who handled mornings well, clearly.

Even if it wasn't morning anymore. Details.

"You wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" Atton asked.

Then he tilted his head thoughtfully. "...Oh, no, wait. Your hair always does that."

"It just gets really excited, okay?" Sparkle shot Atton a little grin, and then shrugged his shoulders. "Mexican cruise? I can get on board with that. How've you been?"

Johnny was already in a Hawaiian shirt and board shorts with sunglasses on as he walked up with his backpack. "A week of no school! Why are we not there yet? Let's go!"

Jono already felt a little twitchy at leaving his cat behind with Rinoa for the week, but he needed this vacation more than he was willing to admit. Hell, he even had a book to read (Vonnegut, surprising nobody) and he'd packed his tablet, thinking that maybe he'd try to gain an appreciation for the internet while he was on vacation.

Even more important, of course, was the acoustic guitar he had with him. Because he hadn't spent nearly enough time playing lately, and he fully intended to change that.

Hannibal was proud of him for packing that tablet! And for being a good sport and wearing the tailored, too-expensive jeans and boots he'd bought in New York and a black silk button-up.

"I could make you change into a suit if you'd like something different to be annoyed at," he offered.

Hannibal had a nicely-packed suitcase and garment bag. Beethoven had been left at a very plush kennel, along with enough of his own food to last him the week, and the flamingos could damn well fend for themselves. He was wearing slacks and a nice shirt and cashmere sweater under a coat he was certain he'd have to take off as soon as they arrived.

He really hoped this cruise had decent food.

To say Elsa was nervous to be going on this trip would be an understatement. She... really didn't do boats. At all. But in the wake of last week, she couldn't stand the idea of staying on the island, and going back to Arendelle for the break seemed like a terrible plan.

So Elsa was pacing there on the causeway, with her arms wrapped around herself and her eyes on the ground in front of her, wishing that she could have at least brought her dog along.

No, Elsa didn't handle ships well in the least.

"Are you all right?" Jalian asked. She might not be the most intuitive about feelings, but it was obvious something was bothering Elsa.
