Wonka's Sweets Shoppe, Friday

Pinkie had decided after setting up shop that the various sweets scattered around did not have nearly enough exciting signage. So she whipped out an easel and a paintbrush and set to work, managing somehow to only liberally spatter herself with paint, not any of the counters, display cases, or candy.

Momoko stepped through the door and took a deeeeeeeep breath.

Ahhhhhhhhh. Sugar.

"I can't believe you're open! You never seem to be open when I'm in tow... Professor Pie?!?"

"Hi hi hi hi!" Pinkie greeted. "Welcome to Wonka's Sweets Shoppie!" You totally pronounced the E, right? "Isn't this place the greatest?!"

[heromaniac]

"It IS the greatest! Well, next to the bakery in the early morning when the cookies are warm out of the oven and the doughnuts are so fresh the glaze slides right off."

Momoko had a small preference for her sugar to be baked, sorry.

"Are you working here now?"

"Oooo, you're right, that is the other greatest!"

There were a lot of "greatest"s in Pinkie's life.

"Yuppers! I'm taking a teaching break over the summer and I just got so bored sitting around at home!"

[heromaniac]

"Oh, I totally know what that's like. You got a much better job than I did, though! I work in a cafe. Which is nice and I get free food sometimes, but..." she waved her hand at the candy. CANDY!

"But there's nothing quite like being surrounded on all sides by sugar!" Pinkie got you, Momoko. Pinkie totally got you. "So what can I getcha today?"

[heromaniac]

"SUGAR!"

Sorry, it was just too easy.

"Uhm. Lots of everything. I live in Texas now and they have lots of sweets but they use lots of nuts and peppers and... did you know they make bacon cotton candy? Meat flavoured cotton candy." Momoko shuddered. "The poor sugar!"

Pinkie's jaw dropped. "Everypony knows the only proper flavors for sugar are beans and fruits! How could they?!"

[heromaniac]

"Beans?" that was a little confusing.

[locointhecoco]

"Vanilla and chocolate!" Pinkie said happily. "And sometimes those red ones are tasty in sweets, too."

[heromaniac]

"Ahhh!" Momoko slapped her fist in the open palm of her other hand. "I forgot those came in beans!"

Ooh! "You like red bean paste, too? Isn't it yummy!!!!"

She reached into her pocket . "Have you tried these? They're totally awesome!" She offered a red bean caramel to Ms Pie.

"Oh neato! I haven't!" Pinkie scooped the caramel up and had it unwrapped and in her mouth in a span of time that would have been tough even for someone with fingers. "Eeeee! That's so good!"

[heromaniac]

Some people took forever to eat candy, right?

"Isn't it! I mean, it's not the same as western candy, but it's totally awesome! Sometimes you just need a break from all the chocolate and have a real flavour, you know?"

[locointhecoco]

"Well sure!" Pinkie said. "Back home in Ponyville sometimes we have candies made with roses or violets, too. Just to keep things interesting."

[heromaniac]

"Ooh! We use cherry blossoms a lot! Well, in Japan." Momoko nodded happily. It was so good to have someone else who TRULY understood sugared goods! "Are you importing any of your home's candies, now that you work here?"

Pinkie gasped. "Omigosh, I totally hadn't thought of that! I should ask Mr. Bucky if I can!"

[heromaniac]

"You should! I used to love this place because of all the unusual candies and I bet there are lots of people who don't believe flowers are flavours!"

"Who's Mr Bucky?"

[locointhecoco]

"He's the owner! So I probably should sneak things in to sell until I've been here at least a month."

[heromaniac]

"That's smart." Momoko nodded solemnly. "It would be terrible to lose a sweet job like this one."

Sorry, she'd been hanging around Jaime too much.

Pinkie fell over, laughing delightedly.
