Caritas, Friday, 5/15

Devil's Nest wasn't the only bar in town with a prune juice problem this week. It also hit Caritas, and Didi had two crates of the stuff (and one of prune soda) to deal with when she finally came to work after her stop at the beach party.

She poured herself a glass of the soda and took a tiny sip. It tasted purple.

[OOC: Open bar, no OCD!]

After some time at the party, Bob decided to wander over to the bars and see if there were any more interesting and sordid things going on.

He saw a pretty girl behind the bar and grinned. "Well, hello there!"

Then he got closer.

"Oh. Well."

This could be awkward. Maybe he'd just...be...somewhere else now?
nuclear_snide: (must you?)

"Don't think it'd do much good if you were," Bob said. "No, I just thought...you don't mind me?" he asked to be sure.

"Oh, you know - the one that got away...albeit involuntarily." He blinked and laughed. "Didi? I like it. Hello; I'm going by Bob. Are you really tending bar here, then?"
nuclear_snide: (what was that?)

"Wouldn't want him to feel useless," Bob said, rolling his eyes at Tino. "What brings you here, then?"

In Bob's experience, infinitely powerful manifestations didn't often bode well with mortals, whatever their intentions. And sometimes the friendly ones were the most trouble. "Didi" seemed pleasant enough, but still.
nuclear_snide: (well then)

Bob thought about it for a moment. "Pretty much the same thing, actually. Visited, liked the people, thought they were abysmally prepared for things, then got a job offer."
nuclear_snide: (uh-huh if you say so)

"Imagine that." Bob smirked. "Yes, teaching at the school. Hopefully helping a little, at least."
