The Park - Thursday Evening

A large banner was set up in the park which read "HAPPY SUMMERWEEN!" in all its glittery glory. All around the party area were watermelons carved as jack-o-lanterns and all your typical halloween party type activities and treats. Except it was Summerween instead of Halloween but you get the idea.

Dipper and Mabel were also running around making sure everything was set up correctly in their twin based costume which consisted of Mabel wearing what looked like giant macaroni noodles and Dipper resembling a big block of cheddar.

Twin costumes for the win.

Pinkie didn't know what Summerween was, but it made about as much sense as Hollerweenie (or whatever the humans tried to call their knock-off Nightmare Night) did, and frankly, a party was a party. So she arrived promptly on time, wearing a deerstalker cap and carrying a bubble pipe.

"HAPPY SUMMERWEENIE!" she cried. Never let it be said that the pony lacked for enthusiasm!

"What pun?" Pinkie asked. When your entire world operated on puns, you ended up in a large "forest for the trees" sort of situation. "Is this your party? It's very well decorated!"

Nathan had been on the island long enough to know what Halloween was but finding any kind of costume in June was kind of hard.

He'd managed to locate a pair of devil horns and a fake mustache so he went with that. It looked okay, at least. Halfway between lazy and over the top.

"So, I'm thinking we should hang out for the party," Kathy declared in her angel costume. "And stand on opposite sides of people and argue."

It took Nathan a second to get what she meant before he snickered. "I'm not the world's best devil. I tend to just be quiet rather than give bad advice."

Kathy didn't have a twin, but she was pretty pleased with the way her costume came out. The wings were made of cardboard and glitter and the dress was one of the new ones in her closet, because Halloween was a great holiday.

She didn't know Mabel or Dipper well (though comic book geeks unite!), but that wasn't going to stop her from celebrating.

Lottie's mun had too much time on her hands wasn't about to let her roommie host a party without her attending. She hadn't packed much by way of costumes, and hadn't really had time to cook up anything really spectacular for it, but she had her cloak, at least!

"When's the part where we all get attacked by a knife wielding maniac?" she asked. The media had given her rather a skewed view of what Halloween in America was about.

Tables are stacked with halloween/summerween themed food along with a bowl full of punch. Go to town and start snacking.

Lottie had a few gummy worms draped artfully over the edge of her glass of punch. You know, to be thematic. Mostly, she was hanging out to check out people's costumes.

Mabel, in all her macaroni costume glory, was here to hand out the good stuff. None of that salt water taffy stuff, or Blor̈ch. Seriously, there would be no Blor̈ch here.

But if you wanted any of those sticky chocolate-covered goodies that looked sort of like they were made out of glitter and joy, Mabel had the stuff!

You'd think that working at a candy shop meant Pinkie was full up on candy. You might even expect her to be offering to hand some out, since she was a professional at it now and all.

You wouldn't even be incorrect! She was just going to sample other pony's candies, too.

"Happy Summerweenie!" she greeted, wearing a baggy sweatshirt with lots of bling. "Ooo, these candies look like they're just about made of glitter and joy!"

Pinkie had a big bowl of treats from Wonka's to hand out! She wore a straw boater, bowtie, and mustache as she stood behind a lectern that hadn't been in the park moments before. "Step right up, everypony!" she cried. "Come get your tricks and treats right here!"
