Caritas, Saturday Evening
Mike had been by the picnic for just long enough to have swiped some food. Which he was now snacking on behind the bar while reviewing stock. And wondering whether this was going to be a busy shift, or if he could have a beer or something.
He'd spent Christmas with Jackson and then New Year's largely on his own. He felt like he'd earned some stuff.
But for now, he was content with his school-provided snacks.
