Fast Eddie's-Wednesday evening

The good thing was that Kitty could recognize when she was obsessing, and so she was trying to take breaks from things like flowers and dresses, etc. So she'd bugged Clint to come out with her to do the very first random thing that came to her mind.

"Is it me, or have their bowling shoes gotten uglier?" she asked, tying a shoe on.

Clint had no problem distracting Kitty; honestly, now that the invitations had gone out, their wedding seemed way more real, and he was a little stressed about it too, so the distraction was for both of them.

"I think it's just you, because they can't possibly get uglier," Clint said, tying his own shoes. "Are you sure this is a good idea for you?"

"Why wouldn't it be?" she asked, looking up from her shoes. "Think I'm going to slide down the lane or something?"

"I was thinking more bowling against a guy with really good aim," Clint said, grinning. "I don't know if this is going to end well for you."

"I'll just go ahead and let you think that," Kitty grinned back. "Want to bet?"

Clint considered it for a moment, then gave Kitty a curious look. "Maybe. What are we betting?"

"Loser takes care of the next two wedding crises," she answered.

Clint made a nervous face, but he was also pretty sure he'd win, so he said, "Okay, deal. Although I'm hoping we'll both win in that there won't be more crises."

"Oh, there so will be. Probably in the last week. I've seen all those wedding shows on TLC," she said, standing. "Want to go first and show off?"

"You shouldn't watch those shows, they're going to stress you out," Clint said, grabbing a bowling ball. "I'll try not to stress you out too much as I beat you." He went up to the lane, lined up his shot, and threw the ball, knocking down seven pins on the left.

"It would have been more impressive if it was a strike," Kitty teased, going ahead and making his score.

"I'm warming up, and luring you into a false sense of security," Clint said with a smirk, motioning towards their lane. "Please, feel free to show me up."

"You don't want to try for a spare?" she asked. "I mean, I'm sure I could take down your last three..."

"Oh, right. Clearly, we need to do this more often," Clint said embarrassed that his mun forgot how bowling works. When his ball came back, he lined up his shot and knocked down the last three pins. "All right, future wife, it's all yours."

"Ooh, I like hearing that," Kitty said, genuinely pleased. She went and picked up her ball, very seriously found the perfect spot to start, and then easily threw the ball down the lane for a strike.

She curtsied.

Clint looked back and forth between Kitty and where the pins were, and laughed. "Oh, I see how it is. You look all innocent but you're really a shark."

"I pitched in baseball. Same principle," she grinned. "Just lower. Let me mark my strike..."

"Oh yeah, don't forget your strike. I'm gonna check and make sure you're keeping score correctly," Clint said as he got up. This time, he focused a little more on where to hit the pins, and knocked down nine pins. The tenth one wobbled, but stayed upright.

"Oh come on! That's just not right," Clint whined said.

"It's okay, you'll get it next time, future husband," Kitty encouraged, not at all teasing, nope.

"It's a good thing you're adorable and I love you," Clint said, throwing the ball a little harder than necessary to knock the last pin down.

"I tease because I love you more than words can say," she said sweetly, marking it down. "And because you're really cute right now."

"Excuse you, I am always cute," Clint said. Hopefully, teasing would keep her from noticing he was turning a little redder at her profession of love.

"You are," Kitty confirmed, going to get her ball again. "But you're especially cute when I surprise you."

"It's just... nice to hear how much I'm loved. And know it's genuine, and not someone being silly," Clint said, playing with his shoelaces so he didn't have to look at Kitty. "Even if you do embarrass me a little."

"I dong mean to embarrass you," Kitty told him, smiling a little. "And you're going to hear about how much you're loved forever. That's absolutely going to happen."
