Demon Marcus, Thursday Afternoon
After class and her... intervention, it was a restless Ada behind the counter at Demon Marcus today. And if she spent most of her time gazing out the window in the direction of Milliways, well, someone would much rather be people-watching instead of waiting for customers.
She'd put in just enough effort to write up a sign and toss it in the window, and now was going to spend the rest of her shift daydreaming unless someone came along and made her work.

New to Fandom?Look, Ada didn't promise she'd give anyone good fashion advice, but at least it would be entertaining.

No she didn't.

"Better," Isabela declared, laying out a cloth wrapped bundle on the counter. She unrolled it to display a set of throwing knives, all tucked away in their sheaths.

"Better than a puppy?" she asked, laughing, leaning over to see what Isabela was unwrapping. "I ain't sure-- oh. Are... are those for me?"
no subject
Isabela nodded. "No point in teaching you if you don't have them when you need them," she pulled one out to show it to Ada. "There's a lovely balance on these."

Someone was excited, yes.
no subject
"Of course. We can even do both."
Just in case Ada was under the mistaken impression Isabela wasn't completely shameless.

Their 'healthy relationships' teacher was probably banging her head against something hard right now.
"But first, you gotta show me how to wear these without hurtin' m'self."

Isabela grinned as she pulled back from the kiss. "Now the thing about these is you wear them in a few different places, so even if someone finds one, they might miss the others."

"Boots an' back it is, maybe thighs if'n 'm wearin' a long enough skirt to hide 'em." Ada's skirts and shorts... weren't generally long enough to hide much, no.

"Could make one for you too," she offered, setting the sharp shiny down and pulling out her sewing kit from under the counter. "What's your favorite color?"
