The Park, Sunday Evening
Allie had been enjoying Fandom's summer tour and had spent most of her free time exploring the other planets. At least until this week. Cheese, sticky, gross, and kind of smelly. She was just going to stick to Fandom for the time being.
Tonight her plan was to practice some sword drills and do some reading. But first she was going to wait till the lure on the person-shaped crater in the park ran out. She almost had enough Magikarp to evolve one.

"Oh." He nodded to the girl standing there staring at her...device of some sort. "Hi."

He shrugged. "A demon, a portal, and desperation. I wasn't really trying for here, just anywhere. But I hear it's not a bad place to be."

"I haven't tried yet. I've mostly been trying to get on my feet." He gave her another of his lopsided grins. "Folks have been surprisingly helpful so far."

[Bedtime for me! SP?]

"Occasionally, when the island is having one of random bouts of weirdness. Last week there were a few nasties running around that needed putting down." Allie gestured towards the nearby park bench where her katana was resting in its sheath. "The rest of the time I keep it handy just in case something nasty wanders across the causeway. I mean I came across, what's to stop another vampire or a rabid from following the same lights?"
Because it's been four years and the island can take care of itself maybe?
[Great SP for the win! I'm toddling off myself as soon as Jon Oliver is over. Sleep well!]

Then, eyeing her with a bit of confusion and a hint of wariness, "Another vampire?"

"Yeah," he sighed. "I guess I can relate. It's an uphill battle teaching some of us they don't have to be assholes."
Not that he was naming names. Hannibal.

"One of us?" she repeated. "Damn, I usually I'm better at picking up things like that. Then again, if you're not trying to be an asshole..."
Allie had a few names of her own. Jackal.

"Shadows is a new one. I guess it must be one of those different world things. Which makes me wonder what other differences there are. Can you eat regular food?"

No need to mention the charmed, but mind-controlling necklace that had removed most of her vampire weaknesses.

Peter wouldn't mention yet that all his former vampiric weaknesses were just church mind-control and no problem for him anymore.
