Pie Lane, Wednesday afternoon

Pinkie sproinged thoughtfully down the street. Now that she knew Fandom was well acquainted with the true meaning of friendship, she was at something of loose ends in the town. She knew she could always go back to Ponyville and her friends there, but she'd put so much time into Fandom. She wanted to get to see her hard work in action! But it wasn't like there was a Sugarcube Corner her for her to work at. She'd briefly considered inquiring at J,GOB, but the staff there was always so grumpy to her. No fun at all.

Then, in her sproinging, she spotted something tragic.

Fandom had a party store. That she didn't even know about. A party store with a dusty storefront and barely any balloons and not even a cannon in sight.

Pinkie had a lot of savings in human money. Pretty much everything she'd been paid since she started working on the island five years ago. She was really good at barganing, after all. So after zipping over to the bank, Pinkie strode into the Holiday Grove with a stack of fresh, cheerful, green bills. Moments later, she strode back out, pulled a conveniently placed ripcord, and unfurled a new sign, advertising Pinkie Pie's Party Palace!

SHE WAS SO EXICITED.

Kitty saw the sign on her walk, and said aloud, "It's about time."

Pinkie bounced into place beside her. "I know, right? I shoulda thought of this ages ago."

"Agreed! Welcome back, tell me all about your new business adventure," Kitty grinned.

[locointhecoco]

"Thank you!" Pinkie beamed. "It's a party store, silly! The very bestest party store in all of the multiverse."

[throughaphase]

"Well, of course, no one could do it better," Kitty said, and meant it. Like, who else had a party cannon. "What made you decide to do it?"

[locointhecoco]

"I came here to teach about friendship," Pinkie said, uncharacteristically misty-eyed. "But you guys defeated Discord all by yourselves with improvised Elements of Harmony. You don't need that anymore. But that doesn't mean I can't still help out. Had you seen this place before? They didn't even sell party cannons."

[throughaphase]

"We are sorely lacking," she agreed. "And really, parties do teach us about friendship."

She frowned. "Are you actually selling party cannons?"

[locointhecoco]

"So long as I can find a supplier," Pinkie said. "Why not?"

Because party cannons wouldn't work for anyone who wasn't just the right side of not-bound-by-normal-physics the way Pinkie was.

[throughaphase]

"I'm buying one."

Kitty could not read narrative, unfortunately.

[locointhecoco]

"Eeeee!" Pinkie squealed, because yeah, narrative reading was not one of her weird Pinkie abilities either. She sproinged around Kitty in a gleeful circle. "My first customer! I'll be sure to send you a special invitation to my GRAND OPENING PARTY!"

Because of course it'd be a party.

Duh.

[throughaphase]

"Oh, I would not miss that for the world," Kitty promised, laughing. "No, seriously, I am there, because it will be amazing."

[locointhecoco]

"It will!" Pinkie agreed. (She was so modest.) "That's the Pinkie Pie guarantee."

She held out a business card for Kitty:

Proprietor of Pinkie Pie's Party Palace
Sparkling spectacles, palatial parties, amazing events
guaranteed

When the hell did she get those made.

[throughaphase]

"Very professional," she said admiringly, taking the card to look over. "I might have to call you about the next Caritas party I throw, too."

[locointhecoco]

"Absotively!" Pinkie said. "I'll give you the friends and family discount."

Everypony would get the friends and family discount. But Kitty might well be first to get it.
