Demon Marcus, Thursday.
Ada had candy.
Ada had candy, the radio blaring out the best of the 80s-and-90s rock-and-roll, a new dress from New Cardiff and the remainder of the money from Miss Cara in her pocket, and the end of classes to celebrate.
It was a good day as far as Ada was concerned, and she'd ditched her shoes to dance around the store while she cleaned, singing along to whatever tunes the radio served up. Demon Marcus was open, and the mermaid was in.

Lucille had considered choosing a day when Sparkle worked, as discussing new clothes with him was uncomplicated, but when she walked past the shop and caught a glance of Ada in the window she made a sudden decision to change her plans.
"Good morning," she said, entering the shop, trying to make her voice heard over the terrible music.

"Lucille," she gasped, laughing at herself from her spot on the floor. "H'llo! What c'n I help you find t'day?"

"I need a new dress," she said, as that was her purpose for being here, obviously. "For everyday use, not for parties." For a moment, she looked a little uncomfortable, but she added: "I hope you didn't hurt yourself." It was unlikely, but she felt she should at least address that Ada was sitting on the floor.
Perhaps she could ask her to turn down the music too?

She loved Guns N' Roses, but was well aware that not everyone else shared her musical tastes.
"Do you want a summer dress, or are you lookin' towards fall already?"

Ada's cheerfulness should have irritated Lucille, but because it didn't she felt awkward. Rather than looking at Ada she glanced around the room.

"A dress," Lucille added quickly. "A darker color. What would you suggest?"

"Which one would you suggest? They are all very nice. Perhaps I should try them on?"
She suddenly felt very aware that trying them on would mean undressing, if only to her corset and petticoat. That couldn't be avoided though, even if it made her feel a little awkward in front of Ada.

So, here he was, walking back into the clothing store, and...um.
"Hi?"

Oh well, at least he hadn't walked in on her with someone before they could get to the back room. That would be even more awkward.
"H'llo. Welcome t' Demon Marcus," she chirped, putting on her best 'Talking to Townies' smile and leaning over to turn down the radio. "How c'n I help you?"

"You seem to be pretty good at both." He waved at where she'd been dancing. "I wasn't expecting jeans and a show."

Wait, was it rude not to introduce himself?
"I'm Peter, by the way."
