It'd been... three? Three weeks since the last time something had happened. Maybe that should've made Dante less paranoid, not more, but he knew better. The jitteryness had gone down as he'd figured out how to stuff everything back in the fridge, so to speak, but he was still desperately in need of distraction.

That didn't always need to be complicated.

He'd found some rhythm game on his phone yesterday that let you use your own music. With a whole store full of the stuff available, that meant he could distract himself all day long if he wanted to. When he wasn't playing, thumb thudding all over his phone as he tried to get the rhythm right, he was downloading new stuff onto the phone.

It kept him busy.

"I come bearing gifts," Isabela announced proudly bearing a box aloft. Of course by 'gifts' she meant a substantial amount of leftovers she'd 'liberated' from class. But free pizza was free pizza, right?

"Holy shit, is that pizza?" Dante asked, perking up.

So yes, free pizza was free pizza. "You are my favorite."

Well, right now, anyway.

Isabela bowed before offering him the box. "It's from class. I had a hunch you'd appreciate it."

"Very much," Dante said, grinning. He flipped the lid. "Damn, this improves the day. What's up?"

He had already shoved a slice into his mouth mid-sentence.

Isabela grinned and leant back against the counter. "Just enjoying the lack of classes on the horizon for the next while."

Dante leaned on the counter on his end, too.
"So you're saying you have a ton of free time?" he said. "Y'know, we were just talking about you lately..."

"So much that I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself." Isabela, sounding innocent was never going to work.

"Good things, I hope." She raised an intrigued eyebrow. "Or fun things, at least."

"Would I say something about you that wasn't both?" Dante asked.

Then had to finish his slice of pizza before he continued. "So the roomie ldigs you."

"You? No, but some people in this place are very picky about what constitutes good." Or legal. "He's got good taste then, also eyes."

"You wanna hang out with us sometime?" Dante said easily. Because Isabela always made the shame levels drop to the negative triple digits. "Been a while since I saw those pretty scarves of yours."

"I take it you have plans for my pretty scarves?" Isabela's grin broadened into a smirk. "I like the sound of that."

"Gotta pick out accessories for homecoming," Dante joked.

Considering how last homecoming had ended, that wasn't making the smirk go away. "So you're saying I should bring extras?"

"Can't hurt," Dante said brightly. "I mean, I know how much you like 'em."

"That I do," Isabela agreed. "You have any particular time in mind, or should I just surprise you?"

"Lemme talk to Anders," Dante said, picking up another slice of pizza. He gestured at her... general cleavage area. "I'll text you?"

Isabela's breasts were fantastic, but not enough to answer phones, Dante. "I'll keep my phone on."

Honestly, the gesturing at her breasts mostly had to do with them being fantastic. Less so about the phone, unless she happened to hide that in there.

Which was entirely possible.

"We'll figure out a way to make this week fun just yet," Dante said, taking a quick bite from the pizza. "Maybe have a party too."

She hadn't not put it there. Not dirty.

"Indoor or outdoor party?" Maybe dirty?

"It's summer," Dante said. "Outdoor party. Maybe hit the beach."

"Appropriately dressed I hope." She still didn't get the idea that you should have clothes just for swimming, but she did approve of how tight and clingy they tended to be.

Dante snickered. "Aw, I'll wear my swim trunks for you, Iz," he said. "Because you asked so nicely."

Isabela grinned cheerfully at him. "And I'll wear mine."


The ones she didn't actually own.

Dante grinned. "Bet you look great in a tiny bikini."

Though that would probably weaponize her rack.

And they were already pretty deadly.

"I bet I would," she agreed, because Dante wasn't the only one here with negative shame. "I already know how I look in Rivaini swimwear."

Which were usually naked or shifts that turned translucent when wet.

"What's that like?" said Dante, who would have enjoyed the narrative.

"Non-existent," Isabela cheerfully paraphrased her earlier narrative. "Or just your underthings, which tend to be thin and white."

A short pause. "Hey, I'm always for going back to your roots."

[good_for_six]

"I thought you might like that," Isabela said, grinning lazily.

"It's a nice mental image," Dante said. He took another bite of pizza. "How do you people get anything done?"

Isabela shrugged. "Well I'm not going to say you stop noticing." Because she had enjoyed the scenery on many an occasion. "But, you know, it's normal so you don't need to stare in case it never happens again."

"Kinda like nude beaches, I guess," Dante allowed. "Still be distracted the whole time, though."

"You just need more exposure to it."

Isabela was hilarious.

"If you wanna help me with that..."

Isabela heaved a terribly put upon sigh. Which was ruined by the grin. "Someone has to make that sacrifice."

Dante grinned back. "Hey, I'm free after work," he said. "And you did buy me with pizza."

Isabela snickered. "You'll have to put in some hard work to make that up."

"Some hard work and rough trade?" Dante joked, polishing off the slice he'd been holding.

"That a promise?" Isabela asked, smirking.

[rebelseekspizza]

"For you?" Dante's face lit up with mischief. "Always."

[good_for_six]

That's her boy. "Good to know I can rely on your performance."

[rebelseekspizza]

"All day and all night if you need me to," Dante said.

[good_for_six]

"You know, I think I feel that kind of need coming."

[rebelseekspizza]

"Got a couple more hours on the clock," Dante said, amused. "But I'll swing by as soon as I can."

"I'm sure I can find something to do with myself while I wait," Isabela said and winked.

Dante saluted her, smirking. "Feel free to text me status updates."

[good_for_six]

Isabela grinned and produced her phone from somewhere just to wave it at him. "You know what they say about a picture being worth a thousand words."

Though he'd probably get words as well.

"And we already know you're good with words," Dante said, smirking.
