Tamsin's Office, Town Hall, Thursday Afternoon

"Didn't I give you the day off?"

Tamsin could distinctly remember giving Bright Eyes the week off, actually.

"Oh, no, no no no," Bright Eyes said, enthusiastically picking through stacks of paperwork. "No, no, no, we can't have that."

Tamsin pulled a face. "Well, can you at least have a day out of my office? Shoo. Go work at home."

Bright Eyes clutched the paperwork to her breast. (Several sheets of it fell to the floor.) "... Can I keep this?"

"Just get out of my sight," Tamsin sighed, and sank further into her chair.

Tamsin peeked into the room, making note of Pepper and the guy in bandages. She said nothing, though.

She also had to keep an eye on the hallway.
