Around Town, Wednesday
She'd already done an early run for packages today, and there'd likely be another one later for whichever parcels had gotten delayed in transit between dimensions, but for now Éponine just had her mail bag over her shoulder and was making her way around town with bundles of envelopes and magazines.
And nibbling on a leftover cream horn from yesterday, because she'd seriously hoarded a bunch of those things.
[OOC: Expecting one, but open!]

She paused when she noticed Éponine and watched her for a moment, just getting a sense of what she was doing - deliveries of some kind, it seemed like.
Acting on impulse, Faith jumped neatly down to street level in a convenient alley and quickly walked around to the side of the building where she'd spotted Éponine.
"Hi," she said. And then, feeling a little awkward, "Sorry, are you working?"

She hitched the strap of her bag a little higher on her shoulder and added with a touch of pride, "Someone's got to see it gets to them, after all."

"Yeah, I guess even here, someone has to deliver all the packages," she said, nodding. "I didn't realize. So do you work for, like, the post office...?"
She was starting to get an idea that Noah would think was really funny.

Éponine let out a brief, raspy chuckle. "'s right, that I do. The things people send through the mail sometimes! It's funny."

She bit her lip. "I don't suppose you'd know if they're hiring? At the post office, I mean. I used to be sort of a delivery person."

ANYWAY.
"We've room for a couple new people, sure enough," she continued. "D'you want to carry mail, and all? I can't say I wouldn't mind another day or two off from doing it myself."
Because the stairs. So many stairs.

She was excited, okay.

handwaveysummary. "There aren't half so many as there are for actually mailing things. Good lord! Now >that's a tangle of dos and don'ts."She waved a hand. "Anyhow, it isn't as if I knew any of the other kids before they started here. They only walked in off the street and asked, too. Now, you're sure you don't mind all the going up and down just to get about this place?"

Her gaze flicked up towards the rooftop. Faith, no.
