Demon Marcus, Thursday
Ada had most definitely considered not coming to work today, but she could only hide in her room for so long before that got depressing.
Considering multiple things had tried to kill her over the last week, including the school itself after everything was supposedly back to 'normal', she didn't think it was too terribly paranoid that she had most of the knives from Isabela hidden about her person.
The fish was missing, which was kinda disturbing -- as much as Ada didn't like it, she hoped it hadn't been eaten -- but otherwise the store seemed intact and none the worse for wear.
Demon Marcus was open, and the mermaid was available for your fashion needs.

Sure, Dante could have started off with 'hey' or 'I've got veggie pizza', but why do that?

"Don't think it's too cold t' use the warehouses?" Ada asked curiously. "...an' we're sure none of 'em are still murder-warehouses?"
LOOK. Shop class had her extra-paranoid, okay?

The way to a mermaid's heart was apparently through her stomach.

"Pretty sure all of th' usuals like girls, so if'n we don't find one with both, everyone will still be happy," she laughed, taking a piece of pizza. "I can grab 'Bela an' see about securing funding for th' adventure."
Somehow, she didn't think Isabela would be hard to convince. Or maybe Hya would want to help, too.
"You wanna come with while we work?"

He pulled up another pizza box.
That one was definitely his.

"Our fast fingers enjoy being appreciated," she replied, managing to keep a straight (ha!) face. "I don't got nothing t' do tomorrow, might as well go be productive on th' other side of the Causeway."
Not that she was looking for an excuse to get as far away from the ocean as she could right now.

And then he didn't say much, because he had a pizza with half a cow on it stuffed in his mouth.

"Maybe I should get somethin' new an' pretty to wear," she mused, glancing towards the racks. "Can't go to a nice party in m' big sweaters an' snow pants."
no subject
Of course you would.

Ada blinked at him. "Can't decide if'n I'd be cold outside from just the bra, or too hot inside with the snow pants," she said finally, after finishing off her slice of pizza. "...that sounds like th' plot of a 'adult' movie."

Too many visible scales.
no subject
Good-naturedly, because he got why.
"But you're gonna try some shit on, right?"
no subject
Well, Ada, you are the actual employee...

Look. Stashing cash you'd stolen from people in your bra only fit so much loot.

In her estimation, it was 50/50 if Dante actually grabbed clothes for her, or skipped over to the lingerie section. With another 50% chance of the answer being 'both.'

His poking around did produce a shimmering long nightdress, eventually. "Might be too fancy," he said, holding it up.
no subject
Not that she minded being plundered.

Bling, the best way to a Rivaini pirate's pants. Or lack thereof.

He picked through a few more stacks. "None of these are swooshy," he muttered, pulling something out of a rack.
Dante: fashion expert.

"There was kissing, and then discovering the scales and happy noises about 'you're sparkly!' and then more kissing with very enthusiastic investigation of th' sparkles," Ada said, gesturing expressively. Because, well, Isabela. "I locked up th' store early."
Sex pollen was the best Fandom Weird yet.
"I like th' back on that!" she said, bouncing a bit at his eye for SHINY. "Though with th' way it clasps at th' neck, someone's gonna have t' help me out of it."
Oh. The hardship.
no subject
Shh. He loved those girls.
"I think we can make that happen," he said, "'specially if we get a big enough hotel room."
no subject
"'M budgeting our funds for two rooms," she informed him cheerfully. "Either one big fancy one, or two of those with connecting doors, so that we don't gotta sleep piled up on top of each other for lack of other options."
Or if some people wanted to go off somewhere a bit quieter, or actually wanted some sleep without trying to get comfortable around other people.

He didn't think there was anyone on their invitee list like that, but...
no subject
Which...
"How's th' guest list coming?" she asked, going over to grab some boots she could use while she tried on the sparkle-dress. "Should I be cookin' up more glitter?"
no subject
On the other hand, he wasn't always so discriminate about where he passed out.
"Still thinking Iz, Hya, you, me and Anders," he mused.
no subject
She hadn't been as strict in hiding them lately, so it was possible.
no subject
He wandered back to snag another slice of pizza.

Sure. That'd work.

He watched her intently, grinning.
"And if it's edible, we get to have fun with it later."

She kinda felt bad for whomever was going to have to clean-up after their chaos. But only a little bit, because that's what big tips were for.
