Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Friday
Faraday, contrary to what he was half-convinced of on some hungover mornings, still owned a store. That had not been a hallucination. He had even, over the past few weeks, begun to make attempts at doing an inventory and learning bookkeeping, although they were going about as well as could be expected, which was: not well.
Today, though, he had even managed to remember to open said store, and had hung a 'Now Hiring' sign in the window in hopes of attracting some assistance who would be better suited to this venture than he was. Such as, say, your average teenager.
Wellspring Arms was open, and would probably be open well into the evening. Faraday wasn't really clear on regular business hours yet.

"Faraday." Why wasn't he surprised to run into someone else he knew?

See, Faraday knew Billy would show up sooner or later!

Awful. It was just awful. He'd rather be in one of those shit hole towns out west. At least he could figure out the layout there.
Downside was the whole possible lynching thing, yes. But he was already dead, so.

Half of those towns only had one street, Billy, it's not like it was hard. Think of it as a challenge.
"The hotel is, uh." Hang on. Let Faraday think. "If you go back down the road and take a left. The bars are both on the right somewhere."

Billy nodded, committing that to memory then turned to leave before pausing again. "Is anyone else around?"
no subject
He shook his head. "Just me'n Goody until you got here." That had been going about as well as one might suppose.
no subject
Warmed his heart. Honestly.
"I'm not staying," he said, expression going a little flat. Couldn't it have been Chisolm instead? Faraday... well, Faraday was more like than not to get killed cheating at cards.
no subject
"What d'you mean you're not staying?" Faraday asked, sounding genuinely crestfallen. This...this was not going to go over well for Goody.
no subject
"I'm dead, Faraday." So, yeah. This really wasn't going to go over well for Goody.
He didn't understand exactly how Goody or Faraday survived, but there they were. And here he was.

"Thanks," he said, making it almost sound like a threat.
Faraday was so much more tolerable with Goody around to deflect or wind him up.
no subject
"Glad to help."
Well. Might as well get drunk before he had to surrender all his booze to a Cajun out of mercy.

Billy nodded and made a beeline for the door to hunt his 'companion' down.

She stepped inside and looked around.
[ooc: *grumble* put the right comment on the right post, self!]

Oh, wait, right, he was the shopkeep, he had a job to do besides standing around. "Can I help you, miss?"
no subject
Jalian looked him over, then nodded. "Do you have whetstones?"

"What gave it away?" Faraday asked. "Was it my hat?" He was mostly joking.
