This year's Valentine's Dance lined up so well with the upcoming Carribean Spring Break that there was only one choice for a theme: Love In The Islands. Throughout the hall, several islands were outlined in glitter. Photo Island had several backdrops for people to get their picture taken in front of. Food and Drink Island had all the options you had come to expect from Fandom (specifically a Fandom where Frank had any power over beverage selections). And for the singles out there, Shadow Island was dark and black for your rejection of all the pink and red and love. However, just to the side with a brighter color palette, the Cupid Republic was there for anyone looking to make a new connection.

Yes, all of these islands were marked out on the floor in glitter, and by the end of the night those outlines were sure to be moved all the way around. Was it poor planning? Or was it a subtle commentary on the rising tides that would ruin island life in the terrifyingly close future? Probably just the former, so take your mind off of it by relaxing under a glittery palm tree and drinking out of a coconut!

Tony glanced to the side, staying still. "Well, it's not a holiday without something like that happening, is it? At least this year the holiday was normal."

You just jinxed everyone, Tony.

Steve smacked him in the shoulder. "Thanks for ruining it for everyone."

"Enhanced strength," Tony chided, rubbing his poor, poor arm.

"Big baby," Steve retorted.

"I bruise like a peach," Tony replied with a smirk.

"In that case, I'm very, very sorry," Steve said with faux sincerity.

Tony snorted. "I can tell."

Then, after a moment, reached up to smudge the glitter off Steve's cheek.

Steve went red. Again. "I thought it was just in my hair."

"It gets everywhere," Tony replied dryly.

"Apparently," Steve said. "Does this room ever get clean?"

"...you know, I really doubt it."

"...ew," Steve said, wrinkling up his nose.

Tony laughed, looking away to the punch bowl. "Want an unspiked drink? Probably glitter free."

"Only if it's incredibly oversugared," Steve said.

"I'll try to make that happen, but if it's watery instead, you won't throw it in my face, right?" Tony teased.

"Well, probably," Steve said. "If I throw it, the glitter'll stick more."

"You're a cruel man, Rogers," Tony said, brushing past him to get to collect some awful punch.

"Hardly ever," Steve replied, grinning at him.

Tony returned with two drinks and slightly more beglittered than he'd left. "I think the spiked portion could peel paint," he joked, offering over one of the cups.

Steve snickered. "Well, they probably brewed it in a bathtub," he said.

"Was that a real thing back in your day?" Tony asked, looking far too interested over his cup of alcohol free punch.

"Oh, totally," Steve said. "Half our neighbors made bathtub gin."

"Why, Steve. Keeping company with bootleggers?" he teased.

"I was twelve," Steve said, laughing. "Our neighborhood just wasn't that great."

"You're one of those bad kids I was always warned about," Tony replied gleefully.
