Dante was a lot of things, and he'd found he liked a lot of music, but some things weren't quite his style.

So as soon as he'd opened up the store and sat down, he made an executive decision to look up acoustic and rock covers of Bund tunes. He sat down next to a pile of curious blue people with his guitar in hand and eyed the tabs in front of him critically.

"All right," he said, putting pick to string, and played.

Hopefully he wouldn't mind being interrupted later on in the afternoon, by a mermaid trying to hold on to two ice cream sundaes without dropping them everywhere as she got the door open.

"I brought lunch an' it's got sprinkles!" she announced, holding her treasures aloft in victory.

Look, you had your food groups, Ada and Dante had theirs, and it was called 'Sugar.'

"Oh nice!" Dante said, putting his guitar aside and rushing for the door to relieve her of one of those sundaes. "You're the best, Ades."

"If bringin' ice cream is all it takes t' be th' best, I gotta do it more often," she laughed. "I just wanted some an' it's more fun t' share."

She pulled two plastic spoons out of her back pocket, offering one to him. "I told 'em they were for you an' me an' to surprise us, so let's see what we got!"

"You know that's a great way to get them to piss on your ice cream, right," Dante said, smirking. He took the spoon and shoved it into the sundae anyway. "Bottoms down."

"No they won't, 'cause 'm pretty an' I tip good," she said smugly. "--an' they probably get half my paycheck during th' summer."

"I mean, they mighta pissed on yours--" Ada, don't be mean.

She took a seat on the floor, taking off the lid and digging in with enthusiasm. "Mine looks like a banana split, if'n you want a bite."

"Mine's got... strawberry and chocolate," Dante said, tilting it. "Think I'm good!"

Ada snickered. "You an' strawberries," she teased between bites of her ice cream. "Maybe I should try an' flavor your glitter next time."

Dante grinned at her. "Strawberry glitter," he mused. "The only way to make goin' down even more fun."

"Whipped cream, strawberry glitter, an' a cherry on top?" she asked, grinning as she plucked a cherry off her sundae and popped it in her mouth. "Sounds like to a tasty time to me!"

"Cherry's always on top," Dante pointed out, smirking. "Unless you're all upside down."

With that, he shoved a spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.

Ada shook her head at him, since her mouth was full.

"Some people like upside down, I don't judge," she replied a moment later, digging in for another bite. "No ice cream kink-shaming-- Ooo...hot fudge an' marshmallows!"

Dante laughed, scooping up more ice cream. "Too bad they didn't give you a whole banana."

"Some girls like bananas, some like cherries, an' luckily I like both!" she replied cheerfully. "Multiple cherries don't quite make up for only half a banana, but I'll make do."

Dante's mouth curved up. "So how many bananas to a cherry?"

"That's like comparin' apples an' oranges, ain't it," she asked, waving her spoon for emphasis. "I mean, even with cherries, you got ones that are sweeter or some that are jucier, an' it depends on what mood you're in that day."

"Half a banana is just disappointing, though. If'n you want a banana, you generally want the whole banana." She dug out another scoop of ice cream with her spoon. "I'd say... I need two more cherries to make up for my disappointment today. With sprinkles."
