Groovy Tunes, Tuesday
Raven didn't much feel like being at work today, but she didn't have a good enough reason not to be, so here she was.
The stereo didn't seem to much feel like being at work today, either. It wasn't playing anything out of the ordinary, except that it usually played all sorts of things out of the ordinary, so its ordinary playing was totally extraordinary in and of itself —
And now Raven's head kind of hurt. But not really. Only kind of.
Anyway, here was Groovy Tunes.
[open! Raven's mood today is maybe a little bit me. . . .]

Look, nothing was getting done at Dite's, either. The least she could do was spend some time with her roommie.
[All the SP, just didn't want to not ping you!]

"I have so much time," Raven said. Wow, that came out sounding a little depressed without any emphasis on the "so". "Is it just me or is everything you say coming out sounding vaguely sarcastic today?"

"Don't know what else it would be," Raven said. "Even the stereo's kinda doing it." She leaned forward a little to sniff at the bag. "That smells really good. From Luke's?"

"And then share it. Best roommate ever." Odds were good Raven would have forgotten to eat lunch otherwise. It had happened before. "How are those healing anyway? The tattoos."

"I wasn't going to say anything," Raven said with a small smirk. She reached up to rub at the healed over bullet hole in her shoulder absently. "It really bugged you, huh. That it didn't scar."

She sighed. There should also have been inflection there.

Raven rather wished hers hadn't, personally. Both the one on her shoulder and the ones that weren't on her skin at all.
Time for a change of subject.
"So. Strawberries for tomorrow's class ingredient?"
no subject
No, she didn't have a specific one in mind, no.

Raven shrugged. "Yeah, I guess. If you don't want to be thematic with your tattoo lube." The joke fell a little flat with the lack of emphasis, but Raven figured Kathy would get it anyway. "Vegetables. We should make it something weird this time. Not like carrots or tomatoes or anything."

"We should totally do kimchi," Raven said, the only indicator of her excitement her widening eyes. "I have no idea how that could be a dessert but I love it."

"Twenty says it's Pinkie," Raven said. "Ooo, who should our guest judge be? We've run out of the 'our mentors and their girlfriend' category."

"Not the best judge of a food-based challenge. Unless we let him use his telepathy." Raven bit her lip, thinking. "We could kidnap a random townsperson right before class?"

Guess who was going to be a little surprised when Jenkins was brought into class.
