Syndulla Scrap, Friday
Hera had, at this point, mostly organized the junk yard. As much as one could organize massive piles of scrap. Now she was mostly just trying to see if she could sort the "obviously Earth stuff" by function.
And then some guy dropped by and dropped an entire hoverbus worth of scrap metal and circuitry in the middle of it.
When she was done telling him off (mostly politely), she sighed. "Come on, Chopper. Looks like we've got our work cut out for us."

He was trying to be utterly nonchalant about that last part. Which was easier to do when he had a rainbow dalmatian attempting to snatch the burger bag away.
"C'mon, Stance," he chided. "You already had yours, save some for Hera."

And immediately ignored it, though her smile got just a touch happier.
"You come to help, or just to deliver me from hunger and thirst?"

"Chop, be nice," Hera said firmly. She took a long drink before picking up one of the burgers. She gestured at the pile with her cup. "New delivery. I'm still trying to get it sorted out where it belongs."

It just looked as though she'd had a lot of sorting done, was all. And this pile of scrap seemed to be undoing a lot of it.

What? They weren't his ships.
"So, you just need a hand sorting and hauling, or what?"

"Yeah," he said, "sure. Just tell me where you need it."
At this point, it wasn't like 'Kanan is a Jedi' was some kind of huge secret around here. Especially after spite-igniting his lightsaber thanks to Eliot this morning.

Said the guy who had assembled his lightsaber entirely because Eliot had been giving him a hard time.

Just don't expect him to pull out the Force back home, Hera.

"I'll ask around," she said. "Can't be anything too long if we're still doing things here, but a quick supply run is always good."
no subject
Like everything else that was almost like home, but not quite. The stuff that was completely different was fine. Kanan was used to completely different. But 'close but no cigar' was not doing it for him.

"But we're just going on a supply run?"
He got a little antsy when it came to getting close to the Empire. Maybe she'd noticed.
no subject
"Well, I'm not planning on getting caught for running a blockade, if that's what you mean," she drawled.
no subject
There were Imps about. It was a fair question. Dealing with the Empire on Gorse had been one thing. They had come to him. He wanted to know if they were going to be picking this fight themselves before rushing in.

"If we need it, I'll be there," he sighed. "But we won't need it."
Because if they did, he'd be pissed.

She finished her burger and crumpled up the paper, tossing it gently at Kanan's head. "Any preferences for where? Bacta and caf we can get anywhere, fruit and nerf might depend."

"Kashyyyk is probably the best bet for produce," he mused. "Jungle planet and all. Depending on how badly damaged it's been. I haven't been there anywhere resembling recently. Is there anything from Ryloth you've been missing, lately?"
no subject
The Empire hadn't exactly been kind.

"Captain's call," he settled on, finally. "If you end up getting your hands on mynock that isn't trying to eat the insides of the ship, you won't even have to share."
You were too kind, Kanan.
