The Park, Saturday Morning

Magnus had been longing for his usual Starbucks, but somehow the fact that it was inexplicably raining sharks (h-hallelujah?) made up for the withdrawal. It also meant he got to sort through his inventory of weapons and wander on out to investigate this straight up Gaia Sash level weirdness.

"Something's really fishy about this," he announced, hoping he was the first one to use it. He'd be wrong but bless his heart, he did try.

A small mako shark whipped past, clearly judging his sub-optimal pun usage.

Taako strolled up to Magnus, umbrastaff by his side though he wasn't actually using it as an umbrella (which Lup probably appreciated). However, it did look like he was holding something cylindrical in his hand. Sort of like when someone made an invisible 'jerk off' motion.

Aw yeah, someone had found the invisible umbrella.

"What the fuck is happening right now?"

Let's be honest here, he got lucky in finding that thing. He got real lucky.

"Uh, looks like it might be a whale of a situation." Magnus, no.

"No." Just no.

[magnusrushesin]

"You're just mad you didn't think of it first," Magnus grumbled, getting out his shield and the best darn sword ever.

What must've been a baby shark flew towards Taako and bounced off the invisible umbrella.

"One of those sharks flew through the window of the store."

[magnusrushesin]

It was adorable. Also, bitch should have known better to try that when a protection fighter was this close to Taako. Disadvantage, motherfucker!

"I can fix that for you later, no worries."

[taakosgoodhere]

"Thanks, my dude," Taako said, making a face at the dead shark. "Gross."

[magnusrushesin]

"Think we should do something?" Magnus asked, lifting his shield to block another one.

[taakosgoodhere]

"What are the odds of us getting rewarded for this?" he asked.

[magnusrushesin]

"...probably slim," he admitted, kinda scooting into the umbrella when he meant to get under it. Because he couldn't see it. "But it'd be pretty cool to magic missile one."

[taakosgoodhere]

"Smooth move," Taako commented quickly because he couldn't not mention Magnus being dumb. Even if it was perfectly reasonable to not see an invisible umbrella. "If you want me to magic missile one all you have to do is ask."

[magnusrushesin]

He only rubbed the bruise a little because drawing attention to it was for wimps.

"Hell. Yeah. But it's gotta be a big one."

"Oh hell yeah," he said, looking up at the sky. "Like a Great White or something."

[magnusrushesin]

"Think they have any as big as that one battle-wagon?" Magnus asked, peeling the sky for something worthy of their time.

They were remarkably calm for being in the middle of a sharkicane, weren't they? There was probably a world they visited with one.

"Do not remind me of that," he said. "I would've died if it hadn't been for that bugbear."

[magnusrushesin]

"I hope he's going good with his family," Magnus said, nodding like this was some serious business discussion. "They seemed nice when they weren't being attacked."

[taakosgoodhere]

"Well he was nice too." After, you know, Taako had charmed him. "Good ol' Klarg."

[magnusrushesin]

"Good tea," he agreed. "Shark!"

He was pointing out a big ol' thing that was more rolling along the ground than getting air born. It was almost pathetic.

Well that was just sad. It was for the best if he put the poor thing out of its misery.

With a dramatic swing of the umbrastaff, Taako hurled a magic missile towards the thing.

He then moved the invisible umbrella in front of him to avoid getting shark chunks on him.

[magnusrushesin]

"Boom!" Magnus cheered, hands raised above his head in glee.

And now he had a face full of shark blood and viscera. Which didn't seem to bother him at all. Possibly because the rain was taking care of it already.

"Hey, maybe these things have loot in them."

[taakosgoodhere]

"Loot," he repeated. "In a dead shark."

He doubted you, Magnus. He doubted you and your gross face.

[magnusrushesin]

"Maybe it ate someone." Like in video games. It was the only logical reason for a wolf to have coins on it.

[taakosgoodhere]

Taako sighed. "I will stand behind you while you go digging through that stuff."

And immediately claim anything in there that interested him.

[magnusrushesin]

"Make sure nothing bites my butt," Magnus said, jogging on over to check it out. They had such a loving friendship.
