Homecoming Carnival Post II | The Park | Friday, October 21

Of course the Carnival offers plenty of food too, and there are rides and games for everyone to enjoy.

There is also glitter, to no ones surprise.

"Derek," Jackson replied.

It was definitely on the snarky side, to mock his surprise. He might've matured a ton over the past year, but not by that much.

Yeah, that made Derek relax a little because it was indeed still Jackson. "Didn't expect to see you here."

Jackson shrugged. "I was bored." That might've even been the truth! "Figured I'd come see if this place has somehow magically improved."

A beat.

"It hasn't."

"Weird, that," Derek replied dryly. "Its almost like this place is just consistently strange and awful."

But only half the time.

Jackson shrugged again, and glanced at his phone. "Ethan finds it freaking hilarious, though."

And that made it worth it. Somewhat.

Derek paused to think through the list of idiot kids from Beacon Hills that he knew of and came up blank on that one.

Stiles would probably have things to say on the matter, though.

"Ethan?"

"He stayed back in London," Jackson said, nodding a little, as if that was exactly what Derek had been asking.

He was perfectly aware that it wasn't what Derek had been asking.
