Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday
Seivarden hadn't noticed any small children on her way to work, so if they showed up in the shop she would be a little surprised. Not many people on the island had families for some reason as far as she could tell.
By now she had formed a habit for her Saturday shift. After discovering what kind of trouble the shop was throwing at her, she made tea and settled down behind the counter, doing her best to ignore what was going on. Then, when she got bored, she began to arrange flowers. By now she wasn't too bad at it.
As today was quiet, with only the flowers occasionally changing places, she was probably going to drink far too much tea. The changing places thing did mess up the arrangements a little, but she tried to ignore that.
[Open! Also for children, should they for some reason be interested in visiting a flower shop.]

That was why you had a small, bespectacled girl with headgear occasionally peeking at you shyly behind some foliage between pretending to be way to interested in various flowers to put off the moment of actually talking to someone she didn't know who was, like, an adult and everything.

Eyes down somewhere toward the shopkeep's shins, she murmured the rest in a small little hurried voice, poking at the wilted petals of the flower on the straps of her dress. "I need a new flower, please."

She didn't expect Peter would be upset if she gave a very shy child a flower for her dress.
"Yes, I can see that you do. Would you like to choose one yourself? I have to warn you though, they don't always stay in one place today."
Seivarden didn't particularly like frightening shy children so she didn't move too close.

She bit her lip a moment, not sure if she should say more, but she ducked her head and whispered as if it was a secret, but this person seemed nice and trustworthy enough so far. "I hear there are snapdragons in a place called the Land of the Green Isles that actually snap! Like real dragons? Are your flowers like those?"

She added, with a laugh: "Although don't try that yourself, without your parents. Would you like some tea?"

And while she did run her fingers thoughtfully over the petals of something pretty and blue, she tilted her head and peeked shyly over. "Why can't you leave?" she asked. "Were you hexed by a witch? Did a wizard put a curse on you? Did you drink a bad draught from a hack-potion maker like the Hobblepots?"
Realizing that this sounded a little mean, Amaya amended her statement slightly. "My father says the Hobblepots in Daventry are hacks. I don't actually know them."

She added: "I'm told it's that Portalocity place that causes problems, but I suppose you haven't heard of it."
She was a child after all.
