Teaching Peridot songs yesterday had been inspiring, and Breq planned to spend the day looking for new ones, if the shop cooperated.
It did. Perhaps it wanted Breq to be able to spread the joy of singing, because the stereo happily played whatever songs she selected, throwing in a few extra ones. Breq decided to see those as suggestions. At the end of the shift she had added a few songs to her already extensive collection, leaving her with material to last for the rest of the week and longer.
She had to ask Jono if she could borrow an acoustic guitar. As she was getting the hang of playing the base, she might be able to figure out simple chords,
