Raven didn't wear shoes, so she hadn't found any donuts. But she did encounter kitchens and drawers on a daily basis, so she was doing just fine for latkas and gelt, a fact that she was quite pleased with. She was hunting through anything even a little bit drawer-like at Groovy Tunes and hoarding little chocolate coins, bopping around to all the Lou Reed, Paul Simon, and Leonard Cohen the stereo wanted to play at her.

She had no idea what all these things added up to -- she hadn't had a whole lot of chances to learn about Hanukkah -- but she was into it anyway.
