Seivarden didn't know if arriving at a new school was an occasion to buy flowers, but she assumed not. She knew better than to expect that to mean a quiet day, of course. It turned out that the local New Year celebrations meant people wanted flowers that looked like fireworks, so she spent the day struggling to create decent flower arrangements, cursing under her breath. At least it was better than going to a picnic where people ate food with bare hands.
