Okay so maaaaaybe Kitty had come in with wet jeans because she’d decided to slide down a hill.
And maaaaaybe it was super uncomfortable now while she was working.
And maaaaybe it was a mistake when she was in the bathroom every five minutes.
Shut up, it was fun at the time.
[Open, no OCD!]

“What kind of flavor are you looking for?” she asked.

See? Not taking advantage of the Diaz. Rosa figured, especially after a day of having to fend off troopers trying to convince her to go sledding with them, the last thing she was going to want to do was piss off the people who helped booze her up.

“Coming right up,” Kitty said, going to get it together. “How’re you doing with the weather?”

"At least the power's back," she said. "And you're literally across the street so I don't have to go far." A path could very easily be seen that went directly from MHA to the Perk to the Trooper station to the bar then back to MHA, one she planned on repeating and sticking to for as long as this surprise last chance winter lasted. "My dog might have a cold and I'm probably not much further behind."
And, because she could slowly learn to be civil with people when she actually talked to them more than twice, she even returned the question. "What about you?"

Wet ass aside.

Shocker, right? But it didn't surprise her that Kitty might be more the type.
"My dog, though..."
Thus the cold. Rosa chugged a good first swig of her beer.

Was there ever a better sentence?

Drinks are on the house.
You've got a perp in interrogation and we're turning off the cameras.
Nancy Meyers has a new movie out.
Just to name a few.
Rosa shrugged. "She's small," she offered. "Has all four legs, a lot of fur, two eyes. And spent two hours on Sunday jumping in and out of snowbanks while I froze my ass off waiting for her."

“Awwww. We let ours out but they didn’t take that long. Is she big enough to see over the snow or does she sort of blend in?”

She took another sip and inclined her chin. "You got dogs too?"
Did everyone here have a pet dog? If she'd have known she'd be joining some sort of club, she'd have thought twice before getting Arlo 2.

"Seems like nearly everyone here's got a dog."
Or two.

Rosa's brain said it so loud, her head even shook a little.
"Really?" she asked, face scrunched a bit because, god, that actually made her sound like she was being social. She needed to cut that crap out. "But yeah, there's...uh, the guy with the animal shelter, the dude who teaches swords in the park, and the hot one with the..." Her hand did a sorta-gesture in the air, "magic?"
Yeah, she wasn't great with names.

The hot part, she was more than okay with. The magic....not nearly so much.
