Prom 2018, Community Center, Friday Evening

Sure, the extreme winter weather had come and gone, but it had clearly still been on the minds of those in Student Council when they'd planned tonight's dance, as the theme went in the complete opposite direction.

Welcome, Fandom, to a tropical paradise!

There were palm trees, of course... as well as giant tissue-paper flowers hanging from the ceiling and brightly colored cutouts of frogs and parrots decorating the walls. Possibly with a good deal more glitter than one would usually associate with such a theme, but this was Fandom.

"Can I still say I dressed to impress if there's only one person I cared about impressing?" Liam inquired.

"I'll allow it," Verity decided after a moment's thought. "If only because you're doing a damn good job of being impressive."

Her hand was stroking the front of his suit jacket. When had it started doing that? Verity didn't even know right now.

Liam's gaze flicked down to Verity's hand, and he grinned slightly. "Well, I was hoping to collect on some dance lessons I've been promised."

"The kids'll never even know what hit them," Verity purred, her hand unabashedly remaining exactly where it was. "It's possible that you won't either."
