The Park, Sunday Morning
Seivarden wasn't disappointed that no child had showed up for her. Obviously. That was nothing to be upset about. She had just spent last night watching Rachaai entertainments and feeling miserable for no particular reason.
This morning she had taken Issa to the park, because the cat needed to get out of the apartment. Or Seivarden did. Either or both. Now Issa was looking down at Seivarden from a branch.
"Please, come down. You don't want to climb any higher."

This morning she had taken Issa to the park, because the cat needed to get out of the apartment. Or Seivarden did. Either or both. Now Issa was looking down at Seivarden from a branch.
"Please, come down. You don't want to climb any higher."

"You're good at climbing trees?"
That was a stupid question.
"Looks like you are. You're welcome to help if you like."
Did Issa like children? Seivarden didn't know. She couldn't help being a bit concerned about the child, though.
"Do your parents let you play here all by yourself?"

"Here, kitty!"

Issa looked at the child, a little suspicious.

Her human on the ground was encouraging her though.
"Please, Issa, she just wants to help."
Seivarden assumed. She hoped this wasn't a cat-eating child.

She sat down on the other end of the branch and tried to inch her way a little closer without spooking her, still holding her hand out.
"C'mon, Issa, I can get you back to your person!"
no subject
"Oh, good," Seivarden said with a sigh of relief.
"Are you able to get down from there?"
She expected the answer was yes.

Well, maybe a little, but she wasn't showing off, really, she was just being a superhero!
"Hold on, Issa." She wrapped her arms around the cat carefully, holding her tight, and then quickly jumped down.
no subject
"Here, let me take her."
Issa wiggled however, just wanting to get down on the ground.

"She's pretty," Gabi said, squatting down to see if she could coax her back for petting.

Seivarden smiled at the child. "Thank you. You really are good at climbing."

[Seivarden will help her if you want her to.]

She gave up trying to entice the cat over and stood. "I'm gonna go find my parents."
Wherever they were. Or maybe she'd just try and find some food. Either would be good.
[Nah, that's okay! She's good, but thanks!]

Or maybe they didn't know she was here. Seivarden scooped Issa up in her arms.
"We're going home," she said. "That's enough climbing for today."
